Auburnpub.com have posted a new preview of Spore today. It's nothing terribly new, though there is an interesting snippet:

I don't know if they got this wrong or not but I don't think it's been said previously at what point you advance from the Tribal phase. I've added this preview to the database.

So yeah. Exciting news! *Cough*

20 members seems a bit small for a civilization. I could understand maybe only being able to take 20 members on hunting trips or something, but in total just doesn't seem high enough.

Yeah, I was thinking that. But then, Spore isn't exactly based on realism.

They reckon the early stages of the game can be done in about 3-4 hours so perhaps they wanted to compact the Tribal phase down a bit.
