Well, it seems there is some new news apart from the big delay of Spore. First of all the New Yorker has a new video previewing the cellular phase and a bit of the galactic phase. It's quite interesting - you even get to see part of the current intro cutscene to the game of a comet hurtling towards your planet prior to the cell phase. There's also some nice touches such as the creature actually animating now as you build it, which I don't think was in when we last saw the editor. The animations also seem more fluid, which is contrary to the slightly clunky animations we saw earlier in the year, so those of us worrying about nasty animations can breathe easy. The end of the video consists of a fairly interesting interview, though it offers no real new information about the game itself. At the end Will does mention the release date as being around the end of the year, which is a little strange. This was posted two days before the announcement of the delay though, so it's probably irrelevant.
Lastly, there's an article about Spore and, you guessed it, the cellular phase in GameInformer (the US issue I would think). So if you can get it now's the time. Maybe if someone does get it they could post a few tidbits of information from it in our forums for those of us who can't get the magazine in our home countries eh? (No magazine scans though of course!).
That's all for now!
