It depends on my mood, I like rpg and rts, but typically I prefer rpg.
How about you? What game type do you enjoy most?
After two weeks I'm going to tally up the results and announce the top game type. However, you can still vote afterwards, but it won't count towards the top game type award.
Edit: It seems rpg is winning

I'm going to say RPG, as that would be the most engaging.
Am I correct in thinking Oblivion would fall somewhere between 'Adventure' and 'Shooter'?

FPS (first-person shooter) hands down. But I also like RPGs, classic 2D side-scrolling platformers, racing games, the odd fighting game, and adventure/action games.

RPG. I love to play a role in a story.
Second would be FPS, followed by RTS.

RPG FTW! FPS in second place I think, followed by RTS. FPS and RTS tend to exchange places depending on my mood however.

I voted adventure, for being close to my favourite genre. I like a 1st Person view game with exploration, storyline, elements of RPG and plenty of action, but not too much like Doom 3. One game that springs to mind is Shadowman (yeah I know that was 3rd person, but I let him off

) Soul Reaver too. My fave game of all time, however, is Morrowind. So that's my philosophy out the window!

it has been one week and so far rpg is leading with a whopping 66.6%
Will rpg secure a victory? Will others who haven't voted come in and tip the scale?
Find out next week!

yeah i have seen it, diddnt bother d/l because it diddnt look good, i want an official expansion where you get the tyranids, atleast then the models would look good and the animations would work well.
oh i cant wait till they doo that, i will send my tyranid army against elder and watch while my huge monsters rip them limb from lim muhhahahaahha. oh i can only hope they get a expansion like that.
on that note, my favuorite type of game is RTS.
RPG second, which is probably why i like spell force2 so much, it has the best of both worlds.

I don't think that there will be any more expansions for Dawn of War, as they are working on Dawn of War 2!

It looks like it was mostly rumours in late '05/early '06. Unless there's been further news since then.

Dawn of War 2
Many people believe a sequel will be released due to the fact that there is a video at the end of Dark Crusade showing the battle still raging on three separate planets, followed by the date "2007." Many speculate that the game will be released in the late fall/early winter of this year.[citation needed]

Well then, brothers, it's time to eradicate those foul Xenos once again! FOR THE EMPEROR!! DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR!!
Ahem, maybe we are getting a little off-topic? Hope they imprint a little RPG if they make a sequel, just like in Dark Crusade. Now THAT would be nice, as I love strategy and RPG.

Adventure, RTS and RPG are my three favourites. Although if I have to choose one, I'd have to choose RPG (since it contains elements of the other 2 at times anyway).

I'd probably say that my favourite types are shooters, RPG's and adventure. If you'd get a combination of
Diablo 2,
Oblivion and a little twist of adventure, I'd be in heaven. Or FPS combined with RPG, or...

RPGs since I like to play games that last more than 10-15 hours that still offer interesting stuff to do...
