Strike issued today as a final result of repeated breaking of the rules via spam and flaming. He has been warned repeatedly, and ignored those warnings. The straw that broke the camel's back:

Agreed...along with the uncessary flaming and swearing.

Is this the first time a strike's ever been issued, or just the first reported here?

No. I saw that his Tommy guy was banned 3 months ago. I have to be careful on here, though.

This is the first strike that's been issued since the new strike system has been implemented. We've issued dozens of strikes before, but it was less noticeable, as it was all done in one thread via editing the first post (so no bumps or anything).

Indeed. I hope this will help to give you some incentive to follow the rules, yes? Swearing, spamming, and flaming in a forum are never necessary. Sorry to lecture, but yeah. tongue.gif
cryocry
But what was the spam?

There's been double posts in the past and such. I don't keep track of specific instances so I can't link anything.
cryocry
Oh yeah, when one of you moderators (or Admin) reads the Nazi Sword thing, I didn't mean to sound like I was flaming. I didn't try to flame that guy if it looks like that to you.

As a relatively independent observer I would refer to posts where your comments did not add to the debate (which is spamming on these forums). But what is one strike? Give it time and we will forget it. Move on! Post useful stuff and no one will remember the strike.

You forget about strikes?

Of course they don't forget about strikes! The moderators will all have it written down somewhere, but if you stop posting here, the gamingsource community will forget about it and move on. Tomorrow is a new day. Just pretend it never happened, but still be cautious and don't spam, flame, or anything that the moderators don't like!

Members have a chance to redeem themselves and remove strikes from their name by acting well within the community and not giving the moderators any hassle.

What forum did you get that on.

Anyway, that's kinda cool. But I think that anybody should be warned that even though you can remove strikes, that doesn't make it okay to get a strike.

Don't go around posting and say to yourself, "Oh, well. If I get a strike I can clear my record." It is still just as bad to get a strike. (No offense cryocry.)

Uh... why? I deserved that... even though my sister and her friend had a part to play on that fateful day.

doesn't matter if you deserved it, still doesn't make it right. I didn't know what you would say if I hadn't said "no offense" so for all i knew you get another strike on a post here. Wouldn't want that.

No offense. Again.

fateful

I don't know if i'd go that far with it, but ok.

Seems like you're just trolling now Septim tbh. What the heck are you going on about?

Locking this before someone else tries to go all vigilante...or whatever Septim is trying to do...on this thread.
