Was playing Morrowind a few days ago when I decided to quicksave. Upon pressing F5 the game came to a stop(music kept playing though) for about 20 seconds. I then received the following message:

"Unable to complete operation due to failure removing previous file. Temp file remains.

Continue running executable?(yes/no)"

Clicking "yes" brought this up:

"CreateTES failed for file 'quicksave.ess'. Save aborted.

Continute running executable?(yes/n0)"

Then I received:

"An error was encountered while saving the game."

Pressing "No" during teh first or second step resulted in a CTD. The game is patched, not exactly sure which one, ill post that in a minute. If anyone has had any expirience with this annoying little bug and knows how to solve it, all help is greatly appreciated.

Try Reinstalling morrowind...

I think I had the same problem as you. If your if the game your loading isnt a quicksave, then delete the file named quicksave.ess in your saves folder. Hope that helps B)
