Now that GS is down for the moment i have to find my BF2 fun somewhere else, so as before i'm server hopping until i find one that's my liking and stick around a bit. Today i found a nice one i thought, but got banned in the run. Here's my story Do you have something simular happend? or have a server with great gameplay, let us know so we might get a list of servers going

As you may or may not know, nowadays i'm playing the "i'm in your base with lots of C4" role. So after blowing up the USMC's arty for the fift time i'm kicked for baseraping?! (Sure what am i supposed to do whem i'm blowing up Arty and someone comes to investigate, roll over and play dead? guess not i'll defend myself)

After a min i'm back, and deside the arty bit has got to go, i'm enjoying myself so i will behave, start to defend the first gas-station in road rage. This goes great, maybe a bit too great, with one T90 i'm holding off several M1's that want my flag. That and several nasty tricks (like C4 on the onramp), within minutes i'm kicked for cheating?

After a min i'm back and start to do my job at defending the flag again, not soon after i'm banned for cheating. So i'm a bit confused and look at their forum, there the Admin, in all his wisdom, posts the following explanation, what at least gave me a nice smile on my face

"Grund: Cheating, d.h. sein Panzerrohr hat sich einmal um 180° gedreht und zwar so schnell, dass ich net mal kucken konnte und ein schuss und mein noch ganzer Panzer war platt ..." See attachment

Frealy translated "Grounds: Cheating, his tanks has turned 180° and that was so fast that i coudn't see and with one shot killed my tank"

Well in that case i think i'm guilty of cheating thank god i know that a piece of armor has several weaker spots and know how to hit them, that and parking your tank in profile behind concrete guide rail helps (they normally shoot the concrete not you). And not to forget some adjustments to mouse speed with G5 sensitivity buttons helps.

I normally play on the jolt.co.uk - City Maps server because it has good pings and has never crashed when I've been playing on it.

I'm trying out a few single player games while I wait for the new patch. Replaying X-COM Apocalypse and going to install Heroes of Might and Magic 5 today.

I got banned from all TV2 servers for 'blocking jets with vehicle’. How the real story went was I was moving a jeep from the runway that some idiot had used to block the path of the jet. I posted on the TV2 forum, and they realized it was a mistake in identity and lifted the ban.

Oh yeh, I got permy banned from the Bamboo Clowns server for telling the truth about their power crazed admins – Some people just cant face the truth.

Whilst GS is down I've been playing on TV2 for lonewolf style flying jets, helos armor etc and the SAS CLan servers for seme decent teamwork play.

No loss there

It's been awile since i've visited the TV2 servers, but it is the place you can get a decent tour-of-duty as a pilot. That and they allow alot of sneaky tactics that raze eyebrows on other servers

can you people post some IP's? coz the ingame search for servers is rubbish

Mine works okay. Just type in 'TV2' in the server name for all the TV2 servers... 'SAS' for those servers etc. I found sometimes you need to type the search name in and press enter (or update server list button) a couple of times to get a complete listing.

These are banned by EA (if they are ranked) and if you are caught playing on them by EA then your account is liable to be deleted. Be careful.

It's a bit like running a medic only server where everyone runs around with defribs only. Think of the scores you could get with those sort of rules...you'd get masses of revive points.

I was shooting the su and the MIG everytime this noobs have no skills.Than some German Assholes was Angry and ´talk with a rude language with me.I was defending myself over the Chat and then the Motherf.. kicked me.

I play lot of Infantry server : DSS, =F=[Fury], or the TV2 crap server only AF
