hey all, i have read that you can buy say like 3 ash yams and then sell back, and then able to buy twice as much and so on and so on.

i am trying to do that so i can make a lot of potions but i cant figure it out.
i must be doing somethign wrong.

could someone explain how to buy/sell to be able to buy asy like 100's or so so i can make my potions?

i dunno i never found anyplace that payed more. i recomend that you go the houses and steal armor and weapons and sell them they are usually worth abit

I think you may have misunderstood what you read. When you buy an item it increases the money the trader has in inventory temporarily. This enables you to sell goods to the value of the new balance - which is higher than the trader normally has. It is a way to sell the more valuable items for their true value. For instance if you have an ebony sword worth 20000 the most you can get (from the mudcrab) is 10000. So first you sell other weapons to the value of 10000. Wait 24 hours you can buy back the weapons for 10000 thus increasing the mudcrab's available funds to 20000 and enabling you to sell the ebony sword for its full value. The same approach can be used on all merchants although there will be a ldifference between buying and selling prices. (The available balance does however sometimes reset to the norm, so it is a good idea to save before trying it.)

You cannot however buy more of an object than the merchant has in inventory. Sometimes a merchant restocks inventory as soon as you close the dialogue box. In other words if he has three ash yams for sale and you buy them, you can talk again and find another three ash yams (provided you exit the conversation each time). However this only applies to his normal inventory. If you sell him 3 ash yams but he does not normally stock them he will keep them in inventory and you can buy them back but they never restock.

I don't know squat about selling/buying yams but if you take armor,weapons and magic items the the scamp in Caldera there is a way to get more money than you started with but no yams. I have not a clue as to what you are talking about but if you want to know the process to increase your money dealing with the scamp pm me and I will explain it to you as it is a bit involved
