We want the Gaming Source server to be a fun, community driven server based around working as a team and enjoying yourself. We feel the best way to enjoy BF2 is to play on a server where you know the people you're playing with (or against!) since it makes for a much more entertaining time. Add to that a well adminned no-idiots-allowed server and you're onto a winner!

In order to promote this sort of community spirit on our server we'd like to encourage a "regulars" type atmosphere. We want people to use our server as their first choice. What better way to do this than to offer an incentive and provide free reserved slots for all our regulars so they can get right into the fray as soon as they login?

That's right, we keep 2 slots open for server admins and server regulars so you'll almost always be able to get on. If you add Mogambo to your XFire he may even kick a non-squaddie out of the game to let you in, but only if you're nice!

So what constitutes a regular? First of all you need to make yourself known in the GS BF2 server. Announce a hello when you enter the game, we like to be spoken to! Next of all join a squad, preferably one containing regulars so we can get to know you (extra brownie points for using your microphone!). Next come and let yourself be known in the forums (you're already here if you're reading this). Register and make some posts. Start with something funny...something along the lines of "God, don't you hate that Mogambo person?"

Don't expect your reserved slot straight away..we want you to be a regular! Revisit the server when you play BF2 and join in with the rest of the group and after a few games we'll probably have got to know you and be happy to add you to our VIP list.

It couldn't be much simpler really. Play on our server regularly, let yourself be known, act maturely and fairly and I'm sure we'll love you!

play fair...... check, i play hard, but fair (but tend to do the occasional trip to enemy base with lots of c4 and steal my way out that with anything that has flying capabilities)

Talking about the old situation i was always in GS (until kicked for 1 round due to "exessive" TK) but getting back in prooved more difficult as GS was, and probly will be again (if i have anything to say about it), the best BF2 servers, good teamplay, fair en swift admin justice and plain fun playing. So if there is a chance for a "reserved" slot position, for greater chance of getting onto GS count me in.

Hello there, im good mates with 3rdegree, know of brother and played with a few other members. so far i have played on the server most of the time 1.3 is out and will continue to do so as its a great server. And who is mogambo ? lol

Yah...3rd talks a lot, it's hard to get any sort of tactics going when you're in the same squad. Quick fix? Vote off the commander and take the slot yourself!

And we can all use a good laught now and then, but sometimes you just need to cut the chatter and get back to sweet silence

Its a sad time, im moving flat and i will no longer have an internet connection for at least 7 days, so no more BF2 well for a little while anyways. So will it be cool if i was to have a reserved slot for when i return.

I have decided to be silent for three days I actually dont talk much I think you might mean Venom (he sings) ill tell him (and spank his naughty arse)

But its ok I understand when we play you can't focus. I like to hear everyone in the squad specially because I am on GS which is a freindy server group. Also like Montana and others I like hearing different accents.
I have got to know alot of contacts through battlefield around the world, but now I will seperate the chat and use xfire for that.

Teamplay= can we all play if not everyday like some of us or a special day like fri or sat. Most of us meet on Fri for an all night session. Then we know thats the serious gaming session.

By the way im trying to take time off work to work from home like today, so i can admin the server, but also to have lots of fun. so if anyone is a day person plz join gogogogogo yeeeeeeha

Friday and Saturday are the two days i mostly have to work... escpecially the evenings (work as a bartender) This sunday, as said, i will be on quite a lot

3rd, you dont have to be quiet becuase of us m8. I'm just joking, talk all you like, it makes things different to the normal 'oh, my mic's broken' enviroment.

It would be great to get some playters in during the day. I see 3rd is online now, but he's the only one. Hopefully there will be more after Uni/School is over for the summer.




Which city do you work in BrightAsh? I visit The Netherlands a bit, but mainly to Eindhoven and Nijmegan.

Just out of curiosity, how does a Brit end up all the way in Brabant (The area these city's are located) this because it's generally not the first place foreigners visit in the netherlands. This got anything to do with Philips?

I think thats the best idea u ve had so far to date my friend, it would nt be so bad if ur singing was good and in tune ! lol. i ve known 3rd for years and hes always had alot to say, thats just 3rd, if not ingauged in a battle of words its in a battle of the plate, man, i ve never ever met somone who can eat as much as 3rd and yet has nt a inch of fat on him, (bas***) LOL ! like the rest of u i like chatting and playing, after all i think genarally when ingauged in fire we all shut up and shoot, its those boring long missions up and down mountains that the talking takes place !

It has everything to do with Philips. One of my biggest customers. However, I dont usually stay in either city, I stay in Antwerp and drive over to Brabant for my visits. Dont often get much chance to stay in the 'Dam...Shame. I think you're from near the Hague? I've only been there a couple of times to visit the European Space Agency. I like going to the Netherland and Belgium (I hear you spit), good people and excellent beer.

I thought so I've worked a couple of months for Philips in the UK, a semiconducter plant in hazelgrove, lived in stockport and truly licked manchester. To bad to hear the plant is now closed.

But that's still quite a drive from antwerp to eindhoven you than have to do, you do use the right side of the road do you We dutch do spit when are compared with germans*, the belgiums aren't that problematic (as long as they speak vlaams, and not french). And yeah in belgium they know how to make a good beer, but i also like a pint of murphy's/guinness from time to time.
