Looks absolutely poo. Go buy Mechwarrior 4 or C&C:Tiberian Sun and notice the distinct lack of any inginuity. I will NOT be buying this one.

I dunno, i miss objective mode from SWWII and this seems to bring it back, its all well running around capturing spawns but its nice from time to time to have an objective apart from mass murder

As humanity fights for survival in the year 2142, your army needs you more than ever. Your past Battlefield 2 experience makes you an invaluable asset for the war of the future.

As a Battlefield 2 player you have qualified for Veteran status in Battlefield 2142. This entitles you to reserve your Battlefield 2 soldier name before Battlefield 2142 hits the shelves, making that name unavailable for anyone else to take. You can claim only one soldier name for Battlefield 2142, no matter how many soldier names you have tied to your EA account. You can also choose any new name not already in use for Battlefield 2.

As a reminder of your heroic efforts in Battlefield 2, we are pleased to announce that you will also be awarded an exclusive Veteran indicator next to your name in Battlefield 2142, so other players will recognize that you’ve had a tour of duty in Battlefield 2. You will also receive an immediate promotion in Battlefield 2142, which will let you choose an unlock. Finally, you will receive a new verbal taunt to use in Battlefield 2.

Enter your Battlefield 2 soldier name and password and reserve it for 2142. You must have an existing EA account to complete this.

Make sure to claim your soldier name as soon as possible! All unclaimed names will be made available to anyone as soon as Battlefield 2142 launches. Please note that the immediate promotion is compatible with any retail program that grants you an immediate promotion, and you will be promoted twice. However, claiming your Veteran status after you have already ranked up through normal gameplay will have no effect on your ranking, though the other rewards can still be claimed.

So they are making a EXACT copy of BF2.... and advertise with it as if it is completely new. Giving BF2 players an advantage... crap this is marketingtrick should be boycotted by the gamingcommunity....

This is crap to try and stop the hoards of people moving to QW from BF2. "Stick with us kids, we'll give you poisoned candy".

Question is; are you guys going to be dumb enough to buy into it? We all know Gambo is; but are the rest of you? wink.gif
