Hi there,

Question: I finished the game via the 'backdoor' (killing vivec, getting artifacts, visiting dwarf, etc etc.) and I thought it would be nice to store all of my equipment in my PMB. so I did...

Emerging from it, with only a sword and a robe, I jumped down. *splat* dead.
I looked at my stats... my health level was full... BUT ONLY 25 HP ?? strange indeed, considering I am currently level 52 or something. Anyone ever experienced this ?

Need advice here, thnx already !

ive heard that when u wear the backdoor wraithguard it permanently damages ur HP by about 200 pts, could that be it?
Baphomet
The Dwarf warns you that you are going to get a "shock" (I believe that's his word) the first time you put on the newly repaired Wraithguard. As it turns out, that "shock" equates to about 200 health points, yes. After that - assuming you survive the initial jolt - everything is just ducky.

euhmmm...pooE !! (sry) Yes, that could it very well be... didnt notice anything when i did equip it though... after equipping, I was too busy fighting vamps & stuff... Any idea how to get those back ? maximum level is now 25... bit low for me, for any I guess.

You could try fortify endurance or health items or a previous save. Otherthan that not alot. You realsie 25HP is less than most starting charcters!

Bum deal dude
Ashjam
Really a bad deal then... however, I did kill DagothUr, so that's fine. Maybe I should try to level up a bit, and gain more HP's.

Oh well, saved me from all those quests I had to take. maybe I'll let her retire then... dont know yet.

u cud make a load of fortify health clothing. please note tho if u ever take the clothing off u'll most likely die (as if u receive more than 25 damage while wearing the clothing u'll die as soon as u lose the fortification)

u cud always cheat and return ur health to the number it was before using the console command:
CODE
player->sethealth #

where # is just enter the number that your health was at before.

Clothing might work, altough at the moment I dont have the money for it (bought the PMB biggrin.gif ), and for using the console.... I dont know, maybe I got what I deserved.
If I do that, something has to balance that, I dunno... joining the legion perhaps, or only using a staff or something.
yes, that is bad. shorblade = 100, longblade = 76... no more light armour for me is also an option (is currently 100).

Any more suggestions ? biggrin.gif Like, ridding Morrowind of cliffracers (NOOOOO!!) ?

you could always make the "Valley of Fargoth" mod and run a mile long gauntlet where you do nothing but kill him over and over again. At the end of it you stand in front of a fargoth statue who gives you that oh so fantastic healing ring you get at the beginning of the game....or just join a bunch of guilds.
Ashjam
biggrin.gif Run the Fargoth... I like that.

I decided to cheat...sry. However, I am going to join the Imperial Cult... I despise them (well, this character does wink.gif ) but hey... it's for a good cause.

Also decided to donate money for some good cause... like, buying off my bad feeling about this cheating.
Oh, and going to use only blunt weapons for a while, and minimal package; under 300 pounds/kilos whatever.
Something like that... or use only netch lether as armour, and cheapo weapons. sort of a pilgrimage. maybe visist all the shrines !

I didnt want the chatracter to retire, yet... like her too much B)

thx for the suggestions !

i know exactly what you're talking about, just to keep my character in the mix i always hold off on some faction or guild so i can play them that much longer, but when things start to come to an end they have a tendency to kill off all of the nobles of opposing houses....fine holiday fun for the whole family.

training those skills you never use is also something to consider, you never know when a lvl 100 security will come in handy when you stumble across some chest you haven't previously opened.
Ashjam
lvl 100 lock    sry... security is now at 76, and all my 'picks are master... most of the time, I open the lock in 1 time. Hey, what can I say, Im a thief !! no need for 'open lock'-scrolls anymore...

Currently trying to use spears and staff (staves ?), and axes. Those are my low skills... and trying to up my heavy and (maybe) medium armour. So basically, im going to be more of a fighter-type.

BTW, did anyone install that PMB-plug in, including the tower ? Im having a hard time to kill the skeleton with the glass-shield (sorcerer-type). No matter how hard I hit it, cant seem to do much damage.

Time to get out my "old" equipment I guess... private-tower plug in is a bit "laggy" i.e. had already 2 desktop-crashes... and normally, basically, none... (after a direct-x upgrade that is wink.gif ).

edit; finished it, nice quest. good scripting (if thats the case ?? dunno). Unfortunately, 3 dtc's, so... save often. need to be high level (40 at least), but nice challenge. nice job !

i have a similar problem. my health is down to 5hp. almost any hit from anyone will kill me... i dont have any red stats, any disease (imune), nor any little red icon in the botom corner, but the wraithguard i got was from vivic, just the way the story tells me to get it. ive dont quite allot since then but only noticed it now... how do i get my health back?
Switch
hmm thats strange. well the console command to get ur HP back was mentioned earlier in the thread, if u just look up tongue.gif apart from that tho theres not really any way to get ur HP back, besides using enchantments
Ashjam
I dunno, I noticed it first after finishing the quest, and I moved to Sadrith Mora (IIRC), jumping out of my PMB... sad.gif *splut*.
I used a console-command, see earlier in this thread. I then 'served time' with the Imperial cult as penalty, and did a bit more walking. Sort of a pelgimage (sp?).

plaYer -> sethealth # (thenumber is your original health). Dont know what else to do... execpt the advises already given here. g/l
Adamastor
but will using the console set my maximum health to that number or just my present health?
also i recal going up a level or two after getting (and equiping) the wraithguard. there is no way i could have gained 2 whole levels with les than 5 hp. it must have been something after that, but i have no idea of what... ill see if i can find a savegame withou this eror and try again from there
Marxist ßastard
Sethealth sets both your current and maximum health to the argument provided.
Adamastor
well i found a older saved game in which i have 46 health (as far as i recal it used to be well over 100) so it seems that this has been going on for a while... now also keening seems to be missing, its not in the 'tower' section of odasal or whatever its called (its just a round room and detect enchantment cant find anything, not even on the first time i visit the place). my game seems to be seriously screwd over...
Ashjam
There is an enterance to a "higher" level (ie up a ladder) in a corner somewhere... set your map to "local" and you are supposed to see this enterance.

You sure you dindt take it with you somewhere, and dropped it ?
Adamastor
there are 2 levels one in which you start and the 'tower'. from the ground floor there are 2 doors, one outside and one with the ladder, up the ladder there are theses two triangular shrine like things that usually alow for a blessing but this time it has no cover and is stuffed with ash statues. in between the two there is a bunch of candles with a redish circular thing in the middle. nothing there. detect enchantment does nothing. and this on my first visit to this place...
so now i need the console for the keening as well...
