Well I looooove BG 1&2 and so far i've seen only 1 mod with SOME resemblance to it: a talking sword. Any BG lovers could you make weapons, companions-npcs or quest like those of BG? please? and I wouldn't say no to a TC too... For example (re)make Minsc and his Giant Minature Space Hamster mentor etcetc.

I think this would be angering some copyright infringment...

I think if it done in humor it is protected under parody type things, not sure though

Oh yes, it would probably be legal if done right, but lawyers can make a case out of anything. Good ones at least....

If you clearly and obviously give credit to where it belongs, everything is legal. Ofcourse, you'll have to make sure you read the disclaimers of the work you're about to steal. If it says that credits is all that's needed - it's okay. But don't be surprised if it said you have to ask for permission first, and you don't always get that.

I know about the copyright stufff. Howver I believe that since BG has been out of sirculation for such a long time(Heck black isle doesn't exist anymore!) I don't think it should be much of a problem. However it might be best to ask any remaining members (I heard they reformed as obsidian). About Broken Tail Tales mod I haven't seen it yet where is it?

Darn, I would have loved to run around with my Dark Knight wearing Sarevok's armor.

I guess you probably could, seeing the quantity of Final Fantasy mods, not to mention a Death Star mod and a Legend of Zelda mod. And not just normal FF, I mean Advent Children.

Personnaly I'd lve to hear minsc's cries again (Druids[I think] and rangers everywhere!Rejoice!) , the funny dialogues, the weapons etc. Oh! the memories! I just hope that someone makes something then. I'll hope till the end of time (or until I learn th tes and make it my self

)

Obsidian has been around for awhile. I remember hearing about them when I bought NWN.

I think it would be fine if someone could do it. Its an old game, I doubt the makers would get angry and sue since its a labour of love and not a money spinner. Obviously give credit where credit is due. I bet the creators of BG would be flattered to findout how much of an impact the game has.

If i was part of the team who created BG 1 & 2 I would definately download it out of curiosity.
