How come when you have 100% chameleon/invisibility/sneak/etc, some shopkeepers still follow you around and keep you in sight while others don't?
Mez
Maybe they see your shadow, or hear you? Maybe they smell you. Since there are no toilets...
Mmm... That'll be my question. Do you still cast a shadow when you have chameleon or invisibility? What if the chameleon isn't 100%? I don't know because I never play with shadows...
A good retailer is always aware of his customers. Shopkeepers have a specific skill for that unavailable to those who fritter away their days saving the world.

Why is it that chameleon makes you slightly invisible and does absolutely nothing for your sound but still gives you wonderful sneak benefits regardless?
On the same note, why can't people hear me while I'm invisible?

You know how you're able to sneak undetected within a cave by staying within the shadows? The Chameleon spell "strengthens" the range of just what shadows can effectively conceal you. A relatively weak shadow that would not have hidden you suddenly becomes dark enough to remain undetected.
At 100% Chameleon, even broad daylight is dark enough a "shadow" for you.
I'm not just talking in a story-world sense, either. That's how the in-game dynamics treats visual detection: how much "light" is on your character. Chameleon reduces that "light".
=========================
New go: if Audens escapes the Imperial City prison the same route you did, won't he run into all the Imperial Legion soldiers who now guard the escape route?
Then again, he seemed pretty good at getting past several ranks of armed guards to get at my latest character (we had our little meeting inside the Cheydinhal County Jail, and Cassie put him away in a cell in the aftermath).
LimaBeanMage
May 2 2007, 04:21 AM
Well I suppose I knew that. I just wanted to know in relation to sound how it helps to bend light or take advantage of shadows. Chameleon does indeed work off lighting but with enough chameleon you could wear heavy boots below journeyman level and have them not make a difference one way or another.

this may have been addressed but ive always wondered. what happened to Uriel Septim's body? Cremation I suppose? And also is there a memorial to him somewhere in the IC or something I mean he was an emporerer and everyone seems to be pretty down about him being dead you would think they would dedicate something is his honor. and also *SPOILER HERE* how long after you save the world does it take for this statue modeled after you that ive heard about to be built. Does it show up on the battlesite of The Battle Of Bruma because I think Byrd and Jauffree's bodies are still there haha.

Maybe Dremoras are too lazy to forge real Daedric armor, so they buy plastic armor instead (from ACME, of course!).

The answer is simple. Most Dremora don't wear Daedric armour until you get to the high levels. They wear Dremora armour which is unplayable and looks exactly the same as Daedric armour.

No quest. Just scenery. Kind of like this one skeleton I found in a cave whose name I do not recall— the fellow was pinned by a boulder and you could see his outstretched arm trying to reach a small sack of food just barely out of his reach. Funny, in a "sucks-to-be-you" kind of way.

My self-named good-hearted Breton spellsword was caught consorting with people that the Watch suspected to be part of some secret society in the city, so they nabbed him in order to get him to spill the beans.

The secret society in question? The Order of the Virtuous Blood (first time I played the game, Ralsa Norvalo ran up to me and, quite inexplicably, exclaimed "You're back! Have you reconsidered?..." and I had no clue what she was talking about, I concluded she referred to something that my character was supposed to consider

As to what my current character did (the cold-hearted DB one) she was caught disseminating the accounts of events in MLB games without the express written consent from the Commissioner of Baseball. As you know, a capital offense.

A2. The guards are psychic and know everything and would kill you over a fork or a strawberry.
A3. The wood elves are mentally retarded and are psycho and mental and will find the first person they can see and attack them.

Well...
I`ve got some questions too.
To be exact, they are about Ayleid Ruins.
Where did they sleep?
Didn`t they have any privacy? I mean, no houses, no walls, nothing. Not even curtains.
As I see it, the way of a AR is pretty clear, theres only one way. Now, how did they go to the bathroom?
Suppose King Gindelion of Nenalata wanted to go to the toilet.
He goes along the corridor to the toilet and suddenly gets sliced in half by a swinging blade, or when he sits on the toilet, suddenly he realises that it has been built upon trap(the ones who you stand upon and then get squashed to the ceiling) and experinces that that hadn`been a good idea.
They had to be really careful.
Well thats about all, no wait, how do headless zombies moan?
madman123456
Mar 2 2008, 04:03 PM
Why would anyone build a toilet when People can go their entire Life without eating?
The Traps in Ayleid Ruins probaply keep functioning with magical means. Which would be the same Thing that kept them from going off when the original inhabitants wandered the Halls.
Headless Zombies can walk, attack and get "killed". How do they moan? Well, even without a Head or a mouth for that matter, you can still breathe. Why you would do that when you are an undead is beyond me, but the Pressure Builduo is done by Muscles expanding your Chest and therefore, te Lungs in it. Air is pulled in.
That Air being pulled through the Rest of the Neck would make some Sound, of course i dont know if it would be that "moaning" sound from the Zombies.
I never decapitated someone to hear the Sound it would make when the last Air escapes from the Lungs, gotta try that sometime. If i do, I'll record the Noise and post it here

Wood is a convenient building material. Wood decays, especially if unmaintained. What makes you think that the ruins (and Imperial City) were the only things the Ayleids built?
As for the blood origins previously mentioned, the account you read was probably one of the versions of the Anuad,
one version of which says this:
QUOTE
The blood of Padomay became the Daedra. The blood of Anu became the stars. The mingled blood of both became the Aedra (hence their capacity for good and evil, and their greater affinity for earthly affairs than the Daedra, who have no connection to Creation).
However, it could be argued that "good and evil" is less appropriate than "stasis and change", or "order and chaos".
