Hey,

Ive been playing Oblivion for a couple of days now and have just hit level 12,

And in gamespots gameguide thing i saw that the quest to get the Skelleton key is opened at level 10.

But how do i get the quest?
In the quide it says to ask Alves Uvenim in the Leyawiin Mages Guild, but she dosnt say anything bout it,

soo, anybody have a little help?

Ask her about Daedra shrines.

It's part of a Daedric Shrine quest. At the moment, I can't exactly remember which one. But I need to go on this quest to, been meaning to but I keep putting it off.

A lockpick that never breaks AND fortifies your security by 40 points. THAT, my friends, is awesome.

Ive been trying to ask but the topic isnt in her dialog options?

Do i have to complete the main quest line up to the part where i need a deadic artifact ?

Nope. You could also just hunt around and try to find the daedric shrine. North of Leyawiin, near the river's edge.

Go to Leyawiin (how do you spell it?) then walk north on the path you see on the map on the east side of the city. Continue traveling north till you see 3 people and three houses... pass them go further north and then after a few 100 meters you will see a new "shrine" logo apear on your map, (you will see the shrine from the road) go there. There will be some people there but they won';t attack you (allthough they don't like you either). Walk to the statue, "activate" it, finish the quest and your reward will be the skeleton key... very handy device i must say

I did an MG side quest in Bravil and the shrine quest. Talk to the argonian in the Bravil mages guild, get her friend to wake up and you get a skeleton key as well (132 security kicks ass).

ow, for the quest i suggested you have to be at least level 10... forgot to mention that

By the way, the quest is for Nocturnal. The quest isnt too hard if you bolt in, do owhat you need to do, and run back out. I did that with minimal injuries.
