Abramul
I'm pretty sure it should be the same name as you use on GamingSource.

And you misspelled 'login'.
chris 07

If you place a & sign in a title of a upload submission the site will change the & to and.

And you will no longer be able to edit the posting of the main page of that download.
you can do other things like upload new downloads or upload images you just are not able to edit the descriptions and author notes and things of that nature

I like to report a bug.

The file names of the placed files are not visible. I like to see what I’m going to download especially when people place more then one downloads.

kudos on the new edit buttons in the comments.

But I noticed on my FireFox 2.0 that when I edit my post with the mod-page edit feature I get double spaces each time I edit. Also previous tings put in code tags like
CODE
[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEI40m_Rc5I]SB OPENSITIES ADDON TOTAL IC ISLE - Film2[/url]
are altered to some form of HTML or PHP coding that look like this.
CODE
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'></div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgZ47l7sbV8]SB TES4 Oblivion Crossbow Mod v5.0 - 2[/url]<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->

There was some Hacker activity that lead to loss of data. Now thanks to Dark0ne you can change the name of your file on the Manage Your Files File page by clicking the name (in your case it will be "file") and following the instructions in the pop up window that opens.

I just became a paying member for tessource and when I tried to view the mods, I got this message:

IPB WARNING [2] Division by zero (Line: 34 of /files/all.php)

IPB WARNING [2] mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource (Line: 63 of /files/all.php)

on every page that there are mods listed.

anyone know what happened?

Hi there,

I cannot find your member ID (494539) in the supporter database, but you wouldn't be receiving this error unless something wrong had happened (probably my end, not yours) with the supporter process. Could you tell me (PM me if you wish!) what name you paid under so I can verify the records and sort this for you.

Thanks,
indefiance
When trying to Rename the title to my uploaded mod, it won't let me saying

"AN ERROR HAS OCCURED. PLEASE ONLY USE LETTERS, NUMBERS AND THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS IN YOUR ENTRY NAME OR AUTHOR NAME: ! , _ , - "

But my title already has some characters that it shouldn't have allowed in the first place and I can't seem to change it back even when the title complies to the above rule, and I can't edit or update the description because of this.

Thanks for your help.

indefiance: Are you still having trouble? your mods page looks OK to me.
What are you trying to rename, the file or the mod? What screen are you in when this happens?

I can't seem to download ANYTHING!!! I managed to download one mod, but then every mod I attempted to download after that didn't work - My computer download the files fine, but they are saved as ".7z" files, which my comp wont recognize. I tried adding ".esp" and other extentions at the end of the filename, but this does nothing for me. The downloaded files I get are essentially blank and unreadable. How do I remedy this?

Reading pinned threads is often a good place to start.

Hi, I don't want to report a bug perse, but perhaps would like to identify if anyone has had this bug before. i'll provide a list of the mods I'm using, and perhaps that'll narrow it down.

The bugs include:
1- a place called 'poop' near the anvil docks..actually on the anvil docks.
2- an overheard conversation between NPC's where one was clearly responding with Chewbacca dialogue. This too, occurred in Anvil
3- sometimes the text menu doesn't say what the person said..it'll say things like "let's go grab some beerz" or 'hick' and several others

*****Edit

Turns out the culprit was a quest mod called "The Pilgrim's Path". Guess it flagged itself as the problem when a repeating "Follow the path of the pilgrims blah, blah, blah" kept popping up every minute on the screen. I removed it from the list and none of these problems have reappeared.

Hi. I don't know if I'm reporting a 'bug' or just a mod that wouldn't work with my mod list, but I had a problem with crashing on level up. I'd sleep, pick the 3 attributes I wanted to level then hit exit...and crash. I traced the problem to a dungeon mod, BD&R Deepgrave. I don't know how it did it, but it's the culprit.

This is the explanation of the mod in the nexus:

You should turn off your music and bring a torch or light spell for this one... refrain from Night eye

This mod is a Thriller mod that takes place in a long abandoned prison in the Shivering Isles unused by the mad god and only by ignorant heretics... Explore its secrets and find out why it was abandoned
Extract to your Oblivion Archive and use what ever mod manager you use to enable...

THIS MOD REQUIRES SI

Deepgrave is located ironically near shallow grave... check you map...

How could this mod have caused level up problems? Granted the magic words "shivering isles" conjures up a host of problems. It's for better heads than mine to figure out.

I'm not sure if understood the problem. OBMM is used to change load order among other things, but it's original purpose is dealing with a format with extension .omod. That is indeed a compacted format like 7z (and for the most it is really 7z) that have a script that keep track of the files it install and where it does. Once "activated" an omod file is unpacked and the folders and files placed the same way manually installed mods are. So, if you did download an omod file you don't need anything more than open OBMM, click the load button, navigate to that file you dl and click the activate button (if all is right the mod mark will become blue and the ESPs it "may" have will be at the left and already ticked).

If the mod is OBMM aware, you need to click the "create" button in OBMM... and accept when it report it found the conversion data folder. This will create an omod file at the ...\obmm\mods folder and show up at the right window. just activate it.

If the mod isn't an omod or it isn't obmm aware you need to read the documentation to be sure of the install procedures, but it will have nothing to do with obmm and will not be touched by it unless for that loading order change.

PS: If the mod is an 7z, obmm aware mod you don't need to unpack it before "creating" the omod (indeed you "shall not" unpack it).
If it is an omod packed under 7z, it is just redundant, just unpack, delete the original 7z and proceed as described above.

Vista UAC Problems

Please note that Microsoft's new operating system (Vista), makes some security related changes that affect the use of the TES Construction Set. Specifically, any file that is located under the "C:\Program Files" directory is protected from being changed. If you have installed your Elder Scrolls game into the default directory, it will be affected by these security changes. The following is a list of how this affects the construction set and .ESP files:

* While copying .ESP files into the default game directory, you will be prompted to allow the operation. To compound this, editing files in that directory directly is strictly prohibited by the operation system security. Thus, editing of any .INI files and the .ESP files are not permitted at this location (the file may be moved to the desktop for editing and then moved back afterwards).

* If you create a new .ESP file using the contruction set, the file will NOT be located where you would expect it to be. Instead, Windows Vista places the new file into a special directory located at "C:\Users\ \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion". Inside of this folder are any screen shots taken during the game while operating under "Vista". There is a sub-folder here named "Data" where the .ESP files created in the construction set are placed. The "<login id>" indicates the name of the user that is logged into the Vista operating system (e.g. "Rob", "Fred", "Sally", etc.).

* Editing an existing .ESP file that is located in the normal "Data" directory of a default installed game will prevent you from saving the file if it is checked as "Active". Again, this relates to the Vista file security system. Newly created files (files without the "active" check-box) are not affected by this but are placed in the "C:\Users" location and NOT the standard "Data" location. The game doesn't seem to mind this though and CAN use files in either location for game play.

* Because the contruction set is NOT expecting files in other locations, it cannot go back and edit files that do not reside in the standard "Data" folder. This presents a major problem for editing files repeatedly as is typically the case when play-testing your mod.

[edit] Solutions to the Vista Problems

Alternate Install Directory
If you install your Elder Scrolls game into any directory OTHER than the default, none of these problems occur. Thus, you can bypass the Vista security issues by installing the game onto another hard drive or into a new directory that is not located withing the "Program Files" root directory (such as "C:\Games").

Run as Admin
Another way to fix it is to right-click the ".exe" file and click properties, then check "Run as administrator". Then click OK. Do this for both the "oblivion.exe" and "TESConstructionSet.exe", and any programs you are using that copies files to protected directories (such as WinRAR, 7z, or WinZip).

Disable UAC
Windows Vista users who are fairly confident in the security of their computers might also consider disabling UAC altogether. This will allow all programs writing privileges to the Program Files directory. Although this obviously creates a state of decreased security for your PC, it is a very helpful one-size-fits-all solution to a number of compatibility issues with the Vista OS.

Of these, solution #1 is STRONGLY PREFERRED. Solutions 2 and 3 (running as admin and disabling UAC) remove important safety features of the OS. In constrast, installing Oblivion elsewhere resolves the problems with Oblivion without reducing your overall security.
Wiki entry on installing Oblivion in Vista: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Windows_Vista

If you can't, or just don't want to reinstall Oblivion, try this.

Vista users may have to disable a security function known as UAC. If you have downloaded and installed, and the mod is appearing in your Data Files List, but not in your game check to see if UAC is turned on. If so. Look here for instructions on how to turn it off. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vis...-windows-vista/
