Bharat calls you over to wish you good luck. "I will furnish adequate funds to pay for your passage to Golconar. Some other city governers can be trusted to help too; Metvet in Antinapura, Ellora in Veejani for certain and probably Ayala in Golconar although she plays her cards very close to her chest. I would be particularly wary of Idris in Jangli and Kankrat Shiitole in Pellaret should you need to go there. The others I know little about. Hadrap in Dohoti is a man who keeps himself to himself. Unless you really need his help I would avoid him."
Anyone else remember this? Looks like T'skar may need it, as well as Kalmer, if he remembers

Hi guys
We have a new member - Abramul - can someone welcome him in the Beach Palace Hotel (Aldhelm you need to say what you want there anyway). Anyone seen karkarinus of late?

Sorry guys, I've been AWOL for a while - I've been tied up with stuff, and just haven't been in the right frame of mind for Zooz

. I have every intention of carrying on, and will read up and catch up on recent events.
And welcome, Abramul!

Thanks! This is only my second created character (Cloaked-at-Night in Eiade's RP being the first), although it's also my second in this (universe?). I'll muddle through well enough, I suppose.

Alright, who knows the right answer? I think the post should be something like "I find flunkies work better when supervised, although I do like to keep my distance. As for my age, what do you think, My Dear?"
This likely won't work, a direct YES or NO is likely better, with a bone held out to her - say Tiax's potion (it would be a shame to waste all his work, wouldn't it?). But maybe we should decide as a group. Malchik may squash this as well, seeing T'skar is there with Kalmer coming up behind, but I'd like to put it to a vote.
ps Welcome Abramul. Hope you are active

Feb 21 2007, 03:39 PM
Perhaps you could say something like, you distrust flunkies to handle such a delicate matter unsupervised.
As for the potion issue, Tiax's might convince her then we can use the story of adapting it to her for its full effect to set in.

Maybe say simply that T'Skar is the only one capable of handling the situation. It is a skill that requires many years of practice, and only available to the upper classes. She being over 100 and a noble, well....

As far as giving her the potion, since it isn't very strong, you might tell her its because it was developed for you and therefore will have a weaker affect on her.

What do we ask for? I'm going to try and get her alone so T'skar can give her a little mental push, so she sees herself a few years younger, it should last long enough for us to do what we need and then get out of the city. We will leave the impression that we can send her more, if she falls for it. I don't think we want to get too greedy though, as she may come looking for us

We need to decide a plan of action. Do we immobilise thes two men, interrogate them or just avoid them? I'd be inclined to avoid trouble, so maybe Tiax can pull a quick time-trick for just a few seconds, so everyone can get outside and leave the intruders thinking we're still inside.
Kalmer wants to speak to Kyto outside.
Then we need o get to the Temple. We got free tickets

Hey guys, I've been off for a long time since I can't get online at home and at school I had loads to do. I think I've got a little more quiter time on my hands now so maybe I can post for a while again.
Currently I'm catching up to the story (page 75)
I think I've read all the posts where I was in (or close to me) but I'm a bit lost where I am now.. (I'm kinda bad at reading when I read fast.)
As far as I uderstand we bought 40 leaves from the alchemist and a few potions. I handed my potion over and we're at the main room of the lodging which, I presume, is the inn where I crafted the potion.
Something like that?
What kinda happened after that.. Well I don't really get it.
(With a little luck I might be able to get on at home if I use my new laptop... Well I ca atleast hope, there isn't any reason why I can't acces the site so why sholdn't having the laptop help? It downloads much faster then the normal pc eventhough that ones faster.)

According to my info we have 6 players Tiax, Aldhelm, Ani, Aldhelm. Kyto, T'skar and Baba John (temporarily forgotten name of character, sorry) plus one interested in joining. No one has responded to Tiax or T'skar and so I am not sure who remains of the other five. You need a plan. Tskar has suggested you go to the temple as a group. Who agrees? If two apart from T'skat concur I will progress the matter on the basis of yes. If not and you want to catch the two loiterers can I have votes fot that too. Whichever gets two votes first I will go with.

OK, so I haven't been very active lately, but that's no reason to blatantly omit Kalmer!!!
I agree with T'Skar: we should go to the Temple as a group. T'Skar and Kalmer come back to the inn, and as a group we just swarm past the two spies as if we had taken no notice of them, and deal with the spies as circumstances dictiate. IMO it is Sagrami who has sent them to get the secret of the age cream, and confronting them at alll would amount to telling her that we are onto her plan. Best we act oblivious, but keep our wits about us.

Malchik brings up a good point - Aldhelm is the only one to have met anything related to the temples before, so it might not hurt to have him second, or third at the farthest. I also like the idea of lanterns: they can be set down, and don't blow out too easily.
Some other thoughts: Kyto can change into any animal smaller than himself, so could be near the front as a mouse or something.
Stretching the Mind Magic, we could all be joined by telepathy, and maybe any trap should also warn our rear guard.
Other than that, since we need to be in single file we may want some trap detection near the front, and I think that's about it.

Tiax, we are in a temple. We were given two choices:
1. Go to the center of the temple and solve one riddle (two outcomes)
We get it right and live or we get it wrong and all perish.(GAME OVER)
2. We collect 5 puzzle pieces and then go to the center.
No riddle, every one still alive stays alive.
We opted for 2. the safer option.
tiaxanderson
May 12 2007, 02:12 PM
Sounds the safer option indeed, though what's guarding the pieces since I can't imagine the just lie somewhere on a petalstone with signs pointing at them and I saw the very last post in the RP, something about a skeleton.
And if we are fighting, who are and well.. Just some more info please. I'm trying to get back into character since I'm playing in a huge amount of RPs now.
(I was hoping that it would two things to me, (1) better RPing from me and (2) better fanfiction writing from me.)

May 12 2007, 10:06 PM
The skeleton challenged one of you. I thought Ani would accept but he is not here atm so Kalmer stepped in. He is on holiday for a week so others are posting for him. If you beat the skeleton you will go on to another room. The difficulties in each vary. Previous one was a riddle. There are five in all this is the second.
RedPlague
May 13 2007, 06:10 AM
Well, i'm back. I feel a bit bad that i was not exactly up to the challenge of the skeleton. Though considering Ani has nothing but a sharp knife it may be for the best.
tiaxanderson
May 14 2007, 07:12 PM
So the second skeleton, according to the last post I read, was 'beaten' and there are five in total so we will go to the third one directly?
So we had a riddle and a fight now.. Ok.
((Talking about riddles I finally solved this one;
A princess is as old as the prince will be when the princess is twice the age of the prince was when the princess age was half the sum of their present age. Which of the following would be true?
Prince 30 princess 40
Prince 40 princess 30
Prince 20 princess 30
Prince 30 princess 20
They are the same age
I truely don't know.))

OOC> is Aldhelm still in the lead?
As you move a little further towards the room you see it is filled with skeletons. You count ten of them. One stands sentinel at the front armed with a very unpleasant looking sword. Slightly behind him, and flanking him, are two skeletons wielding maces that crackle with magic. Then comes a row of three skeletons armed with bows and arrows. The remaining skeletons form a near solid blockade at the back. They have magical staves.
There appears to be something odd about the wall they are standing in front of.
Haha, sounds like a bowling alley!

Jun 2 2007, 04:59 PM
There is no more info I can give you. Where is Kalmer and T'skar to pass on their views? Where is the old and wise gentleman?
Could someone DO something.
karkarinus
Jun 4 2007, 09:56 AM
OK, the strongest (Áni, I think) should grab a rock and bowl'em over. Kalmer is not up to that kind of think at the moment.
Malchik: can several of us get involved, or is this also limited to one of us?
Malchik
Jun 5 2007, 08:24 AM
Several of you may be involved if you wish.
karkarinus
Jun 5 2007, 08:46 AM
So let's all grab rocks and bowl them at them. Perfectly timed so that if they jump one attack, they'll get bowled over by the next. Anybody got a magical shield spell just in case the rocks get "batted" back at us?
tiaxanderson
Jun 7 2007, 02:47 PM
I can stay behind (in the bowling event) to shift anyone out of time who would be hit by a rebounce... If that's what you mean.
RedPlague
Jun 10 2007, 04:24 AM
Any thoughts?
Obviously the best outcome would be to take them all with one "shot". Assuming that is not possible, taking the lead skeleton with the unpleasant looking sword could turn the battle in our favor (and possibly give a nice weapon to the group).
Malchik, you said more than one could join in, that means more than one stone can be sent at once correct?
Malchik
Jun 10 2007, 11:22 AM
You had to clamber around the boulders meaning they are pretty big. You can push them and obviously the more force you have the better. Also there are several of boulders (no one has asked how many) so others could push other boulders. However whoever was in front would need to get out of the way.
phawk69
Jun 20 2007, 05:02 AM
It seems there are 3 boulders, so what would happen if Ani and someone else were to push on the first one, then run back to the side tunnel, then Kalmer and someone could push the second one as the skeletons start up the tunnel, following it to the side tunnel, and then the last two could push the last boulder if there are any skeletons left to deal with. Just my two cents.
Sorry for being away so long, but life has become extra busy and there is only dial-up out here in the sticks, 24k. Things will slow down in about a month

occ> Hope it's just exhaustion Malchik. All the stress recently can be a real kicker.
As this is a discussion thread - the riddle is simple math
We start with -10 (price of bottle) then add 20 (price of sale), then subtract 25 (price of bottle) and add 35 (price of sale) so our equation looks something like this:
-10
+20
-25
+35= +20
So he makes 20 gold on the deal. Someone feel free to answer, T'skar will likely answer later
