This is more of a feedback thread than anything for mod authors. If you can't find a category that suits your mod then let me know here and I'll consider adding it to the file system.

Just a question about that- isnt there a misc section? I figure that any mods that didnt firt elsewhere would go there. Just a thought...

Yes, there is, but there could be more general categories that reduce the size of the misc section, making it easier to search the database for what you want.

A sub-section for spells & enchantments would be very useful in my opinion, they don't seem to fit properly with the other categories.

May I recommend a User Interface category. It would allow a place for mods like BT Mod, Dark Mod, and my new Mana Mod...

While you're in the control panel tweaking things, a longer list (long as possible) of "recently added mods" would be great. At the moment they are coming in so fast that even checking daily means I may not see some things, because they've slipped off the end of the list.

There's already a link to "Latest Files" in the top left, which orders all files by the date they were uploaded, 10 per page.

A suggestion -- a combined weapons and armor category would be swell, call it Complete Weapon/Armor Sets, or some such. As such you have to choose between either Weapons and Items, or Clothing and Armor.

It already is...the only weapon category there is is "Weapons and Armour".

I'm echoing the eariler statement about and Enchantments/Spells category. My poor add-some-spells mod has nowhere to go!

I tried to make a system like that when I coded the file system but couldn't figure out a good way of doing it.

A catagory devised for Stealthy characters would be grand..

I am having trouble finding a mod that will make the nights darker, and produce more shadows, although i could have sworn i saw something like "Darker nights" or something to that effect.

Also, i downloaded the Darker Caves mod, and it didn't seem to work.. heh.. In fact, i had to reboot, and when it was booting, it said some volume was dirty?

I would really love a spells/enchantments section. I make quite a few custom spell and its hard to find them all in the misc

It can be a bit daunting though searching through loads of the miscellaneous files that are latest date, is there anyway of making it so that you can have latest date for a particular section like latest building mods or latest armour and weapon mods.

Search by date ASC in the specific mod categories for that. I.e. go to the buildings category and click on the + sign (maybe the minus, think I have it backward) to sort by date

The thing I'm uploading now is a modder's resource, not a mod at all. I just realized there's really no proper category for it.

We need to split up the Gameplay Effects and Changes.

How about an new category "Spells" ?

I may be repeating previous requests, but i agree with having a spells & enchantments section.

Maybe a seperate catagory for player houses obtainable by purchase or request as seperate to buildings which could be anything.

A 'Music' section would be nice...

Yes, a music section would be perfect, there's at least a few dozen music mods out there, and it's impossible to track them down through 300+ pages. It would also unclog the miscellaneous section.

You may want to add a simply Cosmetic section. I mean, if someone added races AND hair choices AND large numbers of things that were mostly cosmetic... I suppose it'd make more sense to go there?

A cape mod has already been made? Search for capes and cloaks and you should probably find it I think...
Not sure if this was the place to post this but... I'm not a modder myself but couldn't anyone create a mod with wich you can use Galadriels ''light'' instead of a torch if you like? Along with the Sting blade-mod I think it would be great. Thx

There aren't that many mods of this category out there yet, but how about a sound/music category? There are some mods which change or add sound during battle. Perhaps it's too early for a sound/music category, I don't know.

Would be nice I guess, but there are several categories that are close already. Items, Objects and Clothes (Or Weapons And Armour, depends on what the merchants are selling) or just NPCs. Or if it's a shop with many things for sale, Buildings.

Perhaps you should seperate Weapons and Armor
You may even devide those categories futher so you don't have to search hundreds of pages of mods

New Meshes and Retextures.

Would help people find exactly what their looking for.
