biggrin.gif Hiya everyone & CONGRATZ on a great wonderful job that everyone did in this RP - it is so interesting & such a dynamic read that I am going to attempt to make it into a mod for Morrowind....primarily for the people who won't be able to get upgrades for their computers for awhile - & so won't be able to play Oblivion right away. If it is popular enough, I may convert it into a new Oblivion mod ... because Bethesda has said that the Obliv constuction set will be even easier than the MW one, and God knows I love to mod .... even more than playing the game!

The mod is so far (in my mind & on paper sketch) taking the form of a Frank Lloyd Wright architectural style house over a waterfall with lots of windows - hidden deep in the woods somewhere in Bitter Coast woods - maybe NW a little of Balmora - that the player will be directed to by some drunken customer at the House of Earthly Delights in Suran. Some quest will be involved....I could use help with storyline suggestions & also a Journal Quest because those are not my strong cards (architecture, retexturing & character creation are.)

There will be a large library in the house, among many other rooms .... and it is in the library that I want pictures of all of you who have an image shown in the Character Portrait thread .... and the story of our RP will be told in books on the library shelves. There will be a main book that will introduce the overall story...an index book - listing the different threads .... and each thread will have seperate book volumes telling its story with illustrations that I hope to make of the action in TESCS & get screenshots of.

I know it is a somewhat ambitious project & since I will be getting Oblivion on its premier date...I don't know how much time this RP mod will take me. If I get really good at the Obliv construction set, I may just do our story in it .... what do you all think of that - take a vote plz .... should I tell our story in MW or Obliv? I would have to take time to learn the new tescs.

Any input will be greatly appreciated. What I need:

RP Character Portraits
RP Character descriptions - physical description, race, sex, class, major/minor spells & enchants, clothing, weaps, armor, special objects
RP Character Name & Background
An ending for your character for after the RP is told....like, Josh faded into the sunset of Sommerset Isle to resurrect into the cold dawn of Skyrim adventure... wherever you see your char going on to after the RP.

ANY & ALL SUGGESTIONS FOR ALL ASPECTS THAT OCCUR TO ANYONE = This is YOUR MOD, each & everyone who RP'd here....so all input is valuable & will be respected.

I have copy/pasted the Fallen Statue thread & the Secure Prison thread in full into Notepad for transfering into my TESCS books - - - - could Malchik or Dark One or anyone else who knows - please tell me the order in which these threads appeared because I arrived on the scene late & don't know the sequencial order in which our story unfolded.

Almost everything reg. all character in The Haunted Well questline is either in the OOC thread or linked to from there. I can try either update it with all descriptions or I can put it in a post in here, which do you prefer?

A consolidated entry here would be wonderful if it's not too much trouble. I will start copy/pasting the Haunted Well next then. Making books with text & pictures is unbelievably easy in TESCS...the only question will be the length of the books & how many volumns each story will need. I know our quest, the Fallen Statue was the shortest because we started the latest.

I like to make largish mods....I made one about CliffRacer Shooting Towers. I made a 3 house mod for the hubby. I did a whole retextured Cedar Ship of which I am rather proud ... it turned out pretty okay but I never came up with a quest or situation for it. I made an online RP story with 2 other people called the Wingmer Sisters that had a lot of retexturing to it .... my friend wrote the story, another found clothing mods to use & I did all the screenshots from TESCS - it was like a comic I suppose. I worked on a team of 7 modders who were going to design an island mod complete with new races, quests, storyline, dialogue....but the project fell apart after awhile.

The reason I'm going to make each seperate story here a different mod .... all will have the library in common ... is because it is ambitious & I don't know how far I'll get. I don't really want to abreviate anyones dialogue or anything....that would defeat the idea of recording the RP for others to read.

Thank you so much for your offer of help, Keshkeim & anyone else who wants to make a consolidated list from the paperwork the characters all filled out would save me from having to search all the threads for them.

been thinking of this myself and I know a few others have had the same idea from the way they have been talking...so if I can offer any services except texturing then I am free...I know the CS well apart from in scripting and as I say creating new textures to use

but creating houses and such I can do with both hands behind my back and blindfolded wink.gif

but due to not having much of an art persona inside of me, my graphics skill is next to nil...making banners is my thing but actual textures I can't do...well that is the only thing that has stopped my mod from going public...and the fact I had to format my PC several times but I've been trying to find texturers to help and they seem to vanish or cast the cold shoulder when I ask...ah well one day my mods will become a reality tongue.gif

Hey this is too cool Ixnos! I was hoping someone else (or a few) might like to work on this too...it is a lot for one person, I admit. If you'd like to design the house that would be great. Have you seen the Frank Lloyd Wright house from Ohio? I think it's main feature is that it is built over a waterfall that somehow come out from under the house in several layers. It is somewhat boxy featuring alot of large windows, almost more windows than walls. Do you think you would like to design something like that? Tell me what you think...I would love to collaborate on this project. I think the RP is great & deserves to be preserved, like the other stories of Vvardenfell adventure.
Anyone else let us know what you can do. I can make the books & create the characters in TESCS. How are you at character creation, Ixnos. Tell me anything else you'd like to do or ideas & such. Welcome onboard!

I had a million ideas but I have never really gotten around to do anything, so I have been saving some for OB really. As I have played so many games and done so many different kind of things computer wise, I would think I can don't practically anything at an acceptable level, but am not an expert in any area.

If there should be any smaller jobs besides accumulating information, if would love to try it out. (like challenges)

- never done texturing, but use PS etc. almost every day (the maps I did in Haunted W thread for example)
- never done 3d modelling for any mod purpose, but I have worked with both 3dmax, Vue and other prgs.

And I think the list goes on hehe. So feel free to ask here or pm me.

Iredior?? Why is that name ringing bells in my memory? Theta Orionis, I think I am already familiar with your excellent TESCS work, at least by reputaion ... & we would certainly be honored to have your help with dialogue & scripting. Those are indeed my weakest points, I live in fear of ruining my whole game (as some have done) by poking around haphazardly at the Dialogue Editor.

Kheskeim, your experience with 3ds max, Vue & other 3d programs will be invaluable ... I have 3ds max vrs. 5 but was unable to learn it on my own without a tutorial that I liked. Your experience with 3d will enable us to make our own models?? I hope.... 3 objects I've wanted to input into TESCS - clocks (I did retexture an Orcan bracer into a watch), hour-glasses & sun dials. These would be very neat objects for our library if possible.

Ixnos - enthusiastic friend & collaborator on our RP mod,
Please proceed to build the RP house in anyway you see fit, use your wildest imagination. The Frank Lloyd Wright idea was just a beginning model for me .... locate it in a good somewhat hidden place in Bitter Coast area, wooded preferably. I'm thinking large library, numerous bedrooms, a bath (I have working models for toilet, washing sink, urinal & working shower for a bathroom = no kidding!! The toilet flushes with sound & moving water level, the urinal sound flushes & the sink reveals a pearl if the question it poses is answered correctly... tee hee) I think I'll design a hot tub for a bathroom, also an indoor garden, underground swimming pool, practice room with dummies & targets (got those made) a kitchen....I will email you the one from my Cliffracer Shooting Tower unless you'd like to design your own (I had my towers located in the foyada leading to the Ashlands (near Molag Maar) & utilized Dwemer machinery to power my plumbing... Also thinking of a small observatory, an extensive alchemy lab, sort of an allround house for whatever class of character a person might play.
Here are two TESCS static ID's that I thought would make interesting walls & windows = in_velothismall_fresco_2 (for walls, I would retexture the surface with marble, stone, etc. whatever we decide on) and f\active_BM_ForceField (which is actually an activator to serve as the windows.) I have found that the forcefield is transparent, so if you build the whole house in an outdoor cell & back the windows to each other....I think you will be able to see in & out of the windows. At least, I have used the forcefield as a magic barrier in one of my dungeons & the player can look through it at others coming into the room...

What I'm going to work on today is mounting the portraits of our heroes in the Character Portraits thread here into framed portraits in TESCS for the library walls....so please add yourself if you'd like your hero pictured in the mod.

ESPECIALLY CHARACTERS IN THE FALLEN STATUE, THE HAUNTED WELL, THE CURSED MONASTERY & THE SECURE PRISON .... I HAVE COPY/PASTED THESE THREADS TO NOTEPAD FOR TRANSER TO MY TESCS BOOKS & WILL BE FRAMING, THEN CREATING & TAKING SCREENSHOTS OF THESE HEROES FIRST.

Interesting, if a bit ambitious, idea... I don't know many custom models you'd need, but I can do them pretty easily. Contact me by PM or AIM if you need anything, and I'll at least consider it.

*cracks knuckles* I'll see what I can do, I'll mostly be working with the original morrowind, tribunal and bloodmoon meshes/textures until someone is willing to replace them as such...at the moment I don't know when I will be able to get around to it but I should be able to start sometime this week

also race creation is my speciality...so while we are here if anyone wishes to put forth there created races they can do...they will just have to live with the closest morrowind race since as I say I am not good with 3d modeling and such...closest I can some to is literally recolouring the body parts tongue.gif

Wonderful!!! Ixnos, work on it whenever you can .... there is no deadline to this mod as there was to the contest. Especially since Oblivion has just come out ... we will be working on it as opportunity & inclination allow. Race creation is going to be very important to us in this, people will be able to have more variant races, birthsigns & classes than happened in the RP. It will be fun creating new races together Ixnos ,,, I like to do that too. biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Should be pretty easy... the hardest part will be scaling down my usual photo-realistic render/material settings to something that Morrowind can use, while still keeping it looking good. As payment... just two things:

1) Re-read the prison thread and add my last post... I was busy elsewhere, and just now managed to correct Aleksi's absence from the last part of the thread.

2) Add his sword to the mod... I'll provide the model, and it'll go in the library as an artifact from the events (you'll see in the last post).

(will be posting an idea so bare with me, just need to jot it down so I can see the morrowind elements within it)

indeed I may now be able to get my Secronic race actually in the game instead of staying in my mind and on paper tongue.gif

to summarise Secronics are "shadow beings" they can control the shadows (which in morrowind would be illusion I guess) and throw fireballs, they are excellent swordsman and have honour, pride and determination within battle

each shadow being is different..different as in dependant on their secondary race (dwarf, elf and so on) and also each have an animal side...ShadowJ is a secronic dwarf and has the wolf as his animal...luckily for him the secronic powers negate the dwarven height and remains 6ft 2" broad and muscular...he just has a slight accent and can handle as much ale as one can throw at him

his animal features enhance his senses and give him wolf ears and fangs but it also carries feral rage meaning he will not stop at nothing once his anger passes a certain limit, rage can also numb his pain and allow him to fight even with broken bones but only for a limited time

so his rage ability will boost strength, speed, endurance and agility yet will cost him health in return so probably drain health and fatigue would do

natural stats would be mainly strength around 60, agility 50, intelligence 20, willpower 20 (they have abilities but aren't very good magic users), endurance 40, personality 30, speed 40, luck 40

what would be great is if we could make different variations of the existing races such as Kane is an imperial yet I don't think there are any normal faces that look remotely or close to him

my idea for houses and such is a "remote" place, where everyone can gather such as basically a huge house depicting the stories but then maybe the camp areas too...such as Fygee's Mercenary camp...the merc camp won't be hard to do...just a camp fire with probably bedrolls under a shelter with a few merc's and Fygge himself

also I am thinking of basically making myself a notebook with a list of ideas who is doing what which can then be used by any from my site and such so we all know what we're doing

now I'll leave you all to figure out all this ranting tongue.gif

No, no...it is very logical ranting! lol I use a notebook also that has tabs for each of the different characters there will be. I too will be using Morrowind, Tribunal & Bloodmoon .... I hope that there isn't anyone who doesn't own all 3 versions at this point.

Peregrine, I will add your last post to the Secure Prison thread ... I intend to copy/paste all recent additions to these threads as they are posted. Do your best on the realism of texture for MW. I know what you mean, I have at times copied a face from a magazine of an actual person onto a TESCS head model & the result looks too real compared with all the other NPCs. I usually blur/blend them some with Photo Finish & then resharpen them just a bit.
Your sword sounds very awesome & will make a good artifact in the library.

Ixnos, the more remote the house location the better & how brilliant to think of us making the campsite location in the mod. Excellent idea!

We have no takers yet on the music/sound/mp3 job .... I hope someone might like to do that because I'm not good with sound, except that I know how to make & place the local sound markers. Ixnos, I love the shadow race - I think you should definitely make them a reality. If you need any armor for them = my first retextured armor is called ShadowShell = it is rippled grey/black Chitin that cameoflages the wearer in shadowy light like alleys, woods, campfireside, etc. A matching shortsword & both shields are included.

3ds max7 ....grrrrrr....I am so jealous. (Why? I couldn't even figure out vrs.5 on my own! Do you know of any good sword tutorials for vrs. 5 I could DL?) Well, I like your determination - and I am wondering what other jobs we could give you that you'd like, Kheskeim?

I just wanted to say to everyone reading this .... that this is your chance to have your custom-self/created races portrayed in MW. Because if it is at all possible, we will make your custom races, birthsigns & classes. I myself are going to DL the dog mod that has a weimeranger & recolor her to be white like Baraka, for her wolfkin side = the Bloodmoon snow wolf will be fine as is.

they have some very good tutorials and infact have a downloadable oblivion CS as well

also indeed the shadowshell armour would be great, also you wouldn't be able to create something like blood armour (looks like muscle tissue and bone)...before I simply used Royal Guard armour since that was the closest I could get too and as I say after contacting a few people they wouldn't do it or got no reply

also I have been playing around with the CS lastnight, I will be able to get waterfalls in and around the place by using the waterfalls in Vivec...not to mention there will be a room with teleports sending the character to the places...like historical battle grounds

I should have time over the weekend but what I may have to do is build in the sea close to the bittercoast region then either join the two lands with land or with a bridge and so on...or I guess I could put a random NPC somewhere who says "you here for the history tour" tongue.gif

not to mention I think with 3DS max only 3 and 4 only work with Morrowind since I had 6 and couldn't get it to work...then again I didn't know how to work it either tongue.gif

Correct, but I also have a copy of max 3 just for Morrowind exporting.

Cool, Ixnos...thanx for the heads-up on Tamriel Rebuilt. I never knew they had tutorials there & I am so glad to see they are still working at their great huge project.
Yes indeed, I can make Blood Armor for you. And I will email you the ShadowShell Armor when I find the CD disk I stored it on. Your Blood Armor reminds me of a project I did for a friend at Jack_Devil's MW site awhile ago who had a character who was unique. First I affixed a custom DarkElf face (yellowish/greenish dark) to a Dark Elf head & I drew his dark red disheveled hair down over his eyebrows in places right on the face texture...then we picked a longish red Dark Elf male hairdo, colored the ears to match face - and he had a very unique character whose dark red hair fell down over his eyes. This same character had a nemesis who actually wore a mask over a skull face ... so I retextured one of the dark elf heads with a skull texture & we made a design for the mask mod he found somewhere. I also made skeleton-like hands for him. We didn't bother making anyy other skeletonoid body parts because he always wore long black robes. It all turned out pretty good & your Blood Armor sounds somewhat similar - - - so the answer is YES..I think I can do it. What style armor will you choose to retexture into the Blood Armor??

Peregrine, doesn't 3ds max5 also work with MW but you have to have a converter or something to insert it into the TESCS?

You need the export plugin for max 3 also... it works with versions 3, 4 and 5 (but not more recent ones).

also while I am here...am I just picking and mixing the outside of the house or would you prefer it if I used something specific like making it look like a house from Hlaalu and so on

sorry for the double post but here is what I have so far:

I decided to shove aload of Hlaalu houses against one another and planted them in the ground...there are 4 door ways, 2 top, 2 bottom and as you can see there is a huge archway corridor

my aim is to make it look "grand"...such as you know when you first go to Vivec's palace and such...my only problem maybe that I have made the land too high...however I am planning to slope the land down then make a bridge leading to the mainland and place banners around

to the far left I am thinking of a big building which would be the "library"...the inside of the hlaalu buildings...I am thinking, tavern, rooms, toilets, information places, shops and so on and basically inside being one long room sectioned into these places

so in other words I have 4 long huge areas then a huge "library"...of course I will place trees and the sorts but they will be going in later when I have the main pieces in place

edit: ok just an update on the whole thing...the island is huge, the whole thing is like something from land of the giants (kinda went over the top with the 3D scaling but ah well still looks good)

I have a "library" and as asked/promised it has a dwemer observatory on top and to add to the "battle and history" feeling I have placed two massive...what seem to be ballistas at each side of the library...need to do a few touch ups where some things haven't clicked or overlapped

also it seems the game has shoved the island near Khartag Point (between Hla'Old and Gnarr mok, on the western sea)..straight from the start you can reach there but I made a test save and stacked him full of cheats and a powerful levitate spell...must have took me a good 5 minutes just to get there so when I can find the right tool to download I will place it more near Sedya Neen way...I have been trying to find the best "bridge" but due to the height of the island I'm either going have to make a very long bridge, use someone as a tour guide to teleport the character or just slope it down and connect it with a lot of land

I'll do most of that tomorrow and get a second screenshot to show how it is...of course feel free at any time to object to something or mention something that would look good and such

OMG! Iznos, are you an architect in RL? I think you should be .... that looks just wonderful. Far better than anything I had sketched or imagined. You are also putting me to shame because all I've done so far is frame about half of our heroes from the Character Portrait thread.

BUT, I have a good excuse ..... we've bought 2 copies of Oblivion plus the Official Game Guide. So, if anyone gets stuck or has Oblivion questions as you're playing - you can ask me & I'll look it up in the Obliv Game Guide.

But back to our RP mod ....

#1 - I'm thinking that we should start a contest thread seperate from this one - for people who participated in the RP to get to name our RP mod .... we can't just keep calling it that. Peregrine & Iznos, whatcha think?

#2 - I was thinking about Iznos' Blood Armor retexturing job while riding around buying Oblivion (had to go to 2 stores) & I am thinking that an armor that is sort of close to following the body lines might look best & also a closed helm, unless you wanted his face to show. Maybe the chitin armor but with less flaring out paudrons ... that's my thinking on it.
But it might look better being all exagerated & larger than the body parts like the way Dwemer boots are so big & kinda clunkyish. I lean more towards the streamlined Blood Armor style ... but I want other thoughts on it k? blink.gif

with no job taking up my time I have most of it spare and also no I ain't an architect...somedays I wished I was though tongue.gif

also indeed, if people are interested then they should have the chance to name the mod that they are involved in, if they like it or not wink.gif

and the blood armour...yeah I would be fine with Chitin, not too fussed about pauldrons since half the time I run around with no pauldrons on since it looks better but again not just my mod so if people wish to have the choice the may as well give it them...but while I am doing the "architecture" my mind is also spinning up a quest so the armour isn't easy to get hehe

since there is 6 of them I decided to link them...and on the race...I forgot they blinked so when he blinks his eyes are still green...also the tattoo on his front is a real tattoo of mine that I have, the one on the back is the one I wanted but will be getting something similiar

DUDE!!! I'm glad you got no job ... I wish I didn't. The 2nd pic is to die for!! How'd you do that?
I love the back tat - could'nt see the front one too well (all I gots is a butterfly tat on my left shoulder = but I got it a block and a half from the Alamo, right where the inoculation gun at the end of USAF basic training kissed my arm ... hehehe...there were big dude's passing out ... it was 106 degrees in the shade the day they inoculated us.)
Anyway, are the Secronic a dark-skinned race & will I be making the Blood Armor to match them? Guess it doesn't matter now that I think of it because everybody's got the same color bones & muscles under the skin. Skip the stupid question there then... lol

Also, I love how the dome on the observatory appears crooked ... very cool. I really have to get you my Cliffracer Tower that has all the bathroom stuff. I also made an underground brewery for Dwemer Ale where the workers' pillows are really containers & they are stashing household silver & pearls & stuff in them. haha Just have to find the CD, upload to my hard drive & email it to you.

the 2nd pic? oh the waterfalls...heh I hunted down the waterfalls in Vivec and then it was just mainly making the waterfalls big enough to stretch from the archways to the floor...already ran through them tongue.gif but once I found the waterfalls it was a case of just making it look like there is a slit hole in the brick just wide enough for water to spill out

yeah tried my hardest to make them dark skinned but everytime I "painted" over the skin it was darkening the eyes and features so I used a "chrome" effect to brighten and make features stand out...will be doing different variations too...maybe have more than one Secronic race (such as a secronic version of the elves...the one there is a nord head stuck on imperial body parts)

my only problem is that when you start a new game with them, the game automatically adds default hair (just a ponytail at the back)

not to mention the first time I sorted out the height and weight I ended up with a fat giant that got stuck when trying to get to Arrille's tradehouse

woodelves looked like ants compared to him...now he is just slightly taller than your average race and very broad which was how I wanted him...just a shame I am rubbish at "adding" things or I would have made the body look more muscular

also I would love to have a look and use your cliffracer tower mod...gives me something else to do tongue.gif

I will look up & add the Cedar Ship mod as well, since you mentioned that our site turned out quite far from the coastland....we could use the cedar ship as a travel marker if you wish... smile.gif

well we can do that or I can move the island closer to Sedya Neen or to the coast via a tool named TESFAITH (I think that is the one), so is up to you

also I plan to create a faction specially for the Secronics...well anyone can join but there will be one main HQ which needs to be joined before speaking to others and gaining quests and such

so over the week I will be thinking of some quests I can add

Your Secronic Faction is a very good idea ..... why don't you make them the sole keepers of the library mansion? They will be the keepers of the old tales or something like that. The player will have to get on their good side & perform their quests in order to get into the library & read the books & get his/her hands on Peregrine's prize sword. I like the sounds of that... happy.gif

Make them a birthsign too if you haven't already & if the player should happen to choose it during char/gen then it will be easier for him to infiltrate them. You can use Baraka's Necromancer brithsign if you want which is called Dark of the Moon & is a Total Eclipse on a pure Black Background. My husband Cain made it up. rolleyes.gif

not that anyone will be reading this but thought I would update this with a few ideas

after learning some scripting, I have the idea now that with the Secronic faction, we can stop armour and weapons being looted off the Secronic guards which means in order to gain bloodarmour and bloodweapons they must venture through the Secronic faction quests which will be full of riddles and such...of course finding the Secronic HQ will be a problem first

next would be to transfer (if possible) elements from Oblivion to Morrowind such as the ability to allow Mannequins to wield weapons (if it hasn't already been done)
