Can i just ask what is the network key when you are on wireless?

Your network key is probably your WEP password protection. One of two strengths as far as encryption goes, 64 or 128 bit I think, 128 is better. I also think it is a hexidecimal number entry but I'm not sure on that, I have a friend who specializes in networking I'll double check this. Basically you enter your password on you router, then you have to have the same number on any machine trying to access the network. I would check it against my routers' settings but it smoked a few nights ago sad.gif so I'm recalling from memory. You could always be a nice neighbor and broadcast your signal.

The network key is probably WEP, I take it your seting up a wireless network and windows has asked for this key. This number will be somewhere in the router settings, the key is generated by entering a key word and then the word is converted into the network key.

If it's asking for a key, it is essentially a password. Though you will have to find out what the encryption scheme is for your system (most likely WEP). Ask the owner of the router you are trying to access, if that happens to be you, check the help information for your wireles router.
