Bloody EA patch - screwed up my BF2 installation. The patch never completed and automatically shut down. When trying to run the game it gets stuck when joining at 27%. Tried installing the patch again - no good. Now downloading full patch (300MB+++) and will try this. If no good, full reinstall of BF2.

Mine stopped for a bit, got a white(!) screen too, then carried on as normal.

I fink you may need to completely reinstall.

mine slowed a bit down too,it looked like it was actually unpacking a zip file

I see that there is still problems. Was on karkand map for the MEC when i looked at my map the UAV showed a distant blip for the enemy, that guy had no tag above him and i when i placed the croshairs over him it appeared red, so i sniped his ass , only to be punished for a teamkill. It appears that the red tag bug now doesnt show above team mates unless your crosshairs are placed over them.
