Yes. I will start learning the new CS as soon as I get the game.

Yes of course Poll Manager! I missed the bandwagon with Morrowind, but I intend to make up for it in Oblivion.
Mainly just lots of tweaking, customised armour and personal housing.

Yep, I'm sure I will. I've been caught up with Iredior all through Morrowind's lifetime but I'm determined not to do any more large mod projects with Oblivion. At least not for a while. I'm planning to make some personal mods.
But first, I'll play the game, naturally.

I'm not sure there'll be as great a demand for player housing in Oblivion as the game already provides some. And since interiors are the main thing I'm good at it'll be worth evaluating things first...

Yes. With this new way of making dialogue and quests i'm going to make mods more complicated then what i'm doing now, which are almost dialogue free, and completely journal free. Still fun if you like fun mods though.

Yes.
Now that I have the ability to create my own models and textures, I will be doing mods in that area, I'm already planning to create whole new architecture sets with what I've got.

I am already involved with one planned mod but I am only writing. I do have my own mod I am considering too but I have a steep learning curve to get through first.

Or would I ???

I think hell will freeze over before I give up on modding Oblivion... unless Bethesda does something incredibly stupid like not releasing their 3dsmax export tools.
Gabbe_master
Jan 19 2006, 08:57 AM
I think the best Bethesda could do is releasing a Blender exporter

Saying it once is enough

. What kind of error does that to your post? Or is this just accidently
copy -> paste? Or did he click add reply twice?

Happy now? Double entry would be a double post so I must have been so happy to respond I did a bit of double talk. Maybe I'm a politician really?

I already got my mod plan in my head. It's going to be based on my favourite gba game
I can't imagine oblivion without mods.. At least, not when i've beaten it already.

I love Morrowind with a passion, but confess that I would not have played it for the time I have were it not for the fabulous mods by such as Rhedd, Emma, Canadian Ice and Howndog. The opportunity to use and create mods is one of the greatest strengths of Morrowind, and Im sure the same can be said for Oblivion. Not only is modding great fun but it encourages members young and old alike to use their brain for more than slash/hack within a gaming environment.
I shall certainly be making mods for Oblivion as I currently do with Morrowind. I love the tiny details of dressing environments, and get immense satisfaction from it! I do not post them for others as they are all "house mods" and there are so many already available but would be happy to collaborate with another modder if I could help out!

You wouldn't fancy decorating the odd interior for
Iredior by any chance?

Feb 18 2006, 04:25 AM
Uh, I can't really mod in any way. But I do like to drop in a full set of Daedric armor/weapons once I've beat the game. But if TES4 is easier to use than it's predecessor, than I may try my hand at it. Turtle knows I've enough ideas in my head to warrant several mods, just not the time or proper skills to do so. Maybe when I retire...

I'll try my hand at it. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind getting involved in TR, but I doubt I have the attention span to stick with it long enough.

Has it ? I just got here. lol
I agree with GrannyOgg, & the person who gave such nice tribute to Emma, Howndog, Rhedd & all the other wonderful mod makers who so enriched the game. And if you noticed as Tribunal & Bloodmoon came out, the Bethesda Devs were reacting back with their community of customers, because some of the great ideas first seen in player mods were incorporated into the games .... female bodice clothing, weaponry, etc.
And also, think of the generations of new modders, scripters, programmers, hex editors who have Bethesda construction sets to thank for their initial interest & budding expertise in those fields. Helms off to Bethesda!

I'm definitly gonna mod. I want to make my own castle with the portcullis from kvatch. But also I want to make a king mod where you get a gown like the emporers gown along with an emporers staff and shield.
But someone should make a Crown mod. theres all sorts of hoods and helmets but no crowns, thatd be cool to have.

Sure I will
I have lots of things i would like to do. Over 10 skatches full of ideas.
After I get to know how to do basics, ill try to do my little place somewhere in the wild. Advanced modifications... i believe that ill menage to become familiar with it.If u remeber from morrowind that quest where we needed to find the white guar. Remember that dunmer settlements? I liked that very much. Design and everything. So i decided to create whole new architecture and little tents. Small, but well defended dunmer architectured settlement of elite brotherhood (im still thinking about the name). It will have several tents - master tents, armorer, wise woman tents... and from other members of brotherhood, and offcourse, one for you. I also imagined that the central part of "fort" will be half-opened (something like a huge tent) and in the middle there will be few tables with waiter serving drinks, few girls doing sweet talk... There will also be training grounds. With better archery range (if u noticed, most of archer marks in game dont allow u to get further away from them). Few dummies, and heavely armored NPC for sparing

I already started to create NPC's for it. And also with few quests... i believe i can finish it b4 the end of summer.
Yup, modifications will be swarming from my art-room

Is it sad I spent up until 4am - 5am in the morning lying in bed penning out a detailed plan of an underground city I want to build?
Its going to be a city in the foot of the mountains with a castle wall in front and portcullis from kvatch complete with moat.
I'm also planning to put a bandit camp nearby, the city will be inside the mountain along with a jail, arena, warehouse and underground palace. On the outside a wizards council tower and wizard school and an PC lodge he can get.
On a small note I think i'm being a bit too ambitious planning this as i havent even upgraded my pc yet and have only been playing it on my brothers pc.
Ah well everyones gotta have a hobby

Yep.
I modded for NWN for a long time, so I'll do it here too. Although this time I don't intend on doing 3DS modelling or textures... I have my eye on making quests. Hopefully after this semester is over, I'll have time to "finish" the game and start creating questing.

Yes I will.
I moded in the time when I played Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, but here I think It's a whole new world to create, but first I have to learn how to do that.

All I would accually want to do in oblivion is use my talent in drawing and that dusty graphic board to create some items. Although I find it VERY complicated + the fact that you have to extract the .bsa files wich leaves me with a
I dont know.

Definitely yes!
I wanted to do a 9 divine faction...and then KotN was released...
So now I'm trying to figure out how to modify Fort Nikel to make an Imperial Legion Training School there, and keep it compatible with the Weye mod from TamaraVico...

No.
I wish I could but I've not this skill. Maybe if a french version of the TESCS will be available it would be easier for me. Hey! But why there is only the English version?!

Probably not for release, but since I first started downloading mods I have tweaked some textures w/ the Gimp.
Then I started changing clothes on various NPC's using mods as resources. So I guess this is a mod of sorts.
I will try some mesh moding if I can ever work out Blender. I just downloaded Gmax with hopes the learning curve
isn't so steep.
