Hey, I can't figure this out, and I'm wondering it it's even possible... I want to enchant a bow to soultrap the way one usually enchants a sword to soultrap... That is to say, cast on strike... Basically, I want to slap a soultrap on critters when I fire an arrow at them.

Sadly, none of my combinations seem to work.

Any idea how I might go about this? Thanks!

Enchant the arrows, not the bow.

Are there requirements on the quality of arrows, the quality of soulgem, or the number of arrows I have in the stack? I can't see my arrows in the menu to select my item. Do I have to find better arrows / get bigger soulgems? I've got a stack of 200 Iron Arrows I'm trying to enchant (don't remember the size of my soulgem, but it's unimpressive).

Just one minor requirement: arrows to be enchanted must not be arrows.



(for the slow-minded, this means arrows can't be enchanted outside of CS editing)

You could make a bow that shoots soultrap missiles. It's not really what you're looking for, but it's really as close as you're going to get.

You guys just gave me a modding idea. I'll have to think about how this could work... but it'd be like a commission.

PC: "Here's thirty bonemold arrows. I want them enchanted with Soultrap."
NPC: "Fine. They'll be ready in three days."
(three days later)
PC: "How's my commission?"
NPC: "Your arrows are ready. That will be... let me see... thirty times mumble mumble... three hundred drakes."
PC: "THREE HUNDRED!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU..."
(fade out)
