Well, I am listening to Elton John, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Arcade Fire, and Johnny Cash.

Two thumbs up for Arcade Fire ... whistling.gif

Joy Division - Isolation
Corrupted
Mostly Faber Drive ^^ "Obvious" and "Tongue Tied"

Tongue Tied

I need a little more luck than a little bit
Cuz every time I get stuck the words won't fit
And every time that I try I get tongue tied
I'll need a little good luck to get me by

and Obvious

They're scared of his make-up tattoos and piercings
They say that it's too bad
He won't amount to anything
They judge by the way he looks
Whoa
The cover's not quite like the book
He's just so misunderstood
Whoa, Whoa, Whoa

Cause it's so obvious
There's nothing wrong with us at all
It's our life, we're alright
No, we're not about to go and make
The same mistakes you might have made

basically stuff that i can think about and relate to my drama life situation tongue.gif

Right now I'm listening some skitso(is that English word?) lofi music. Kinda disturbed cocktail of chiptunes, dark ambient, noise and industrial. The feeling is like I'm sitting in some torture chamber in the deepest depths of hell.

These hellish hymns are not what I mostly like to listen, though. I like mostly metal and hard rock but I listen practically everything outside of the mainstream crap.

So, what I have bought recently? Nothing. Too many other places to put money in and too few to get it.
Chesto
Cat Power. She does just what it says on the hat.

Just listening. Stopped buying in the 60's after some drug addled skank made off with ALL my 33's and 45's. And my Addidas Converse ( sp?).
Bombardment
Don't know if this is old news but there is a music folder in data in the oblivion directory any you can replace the normal music files with your own music.

What I'm not listening to is the latest Pendulum album. From what I've heard, it's actually so bad that it's literally not worth your time listening to. Therefore, I'm going back to Iron Maiden, Queen, AC/DC, and nothing else.

DeathWarrior
Amon Amarth is my favorite band. I'm listening to a few of their songs now:

Amon Amarth - A Fury Diving
Amon Amarth - Abandoned
Amon Amarth - Across the Rainbow Bridge
Amon Amarth - Amon Amarth
Amon Amarth - An Ancient Sign of Coming Storm

Can't wait for their new album "Twilight of the Thundergod".

As for purchasing, I used to on iTunes, but now iTunes is just for uploading music on my iPod and charging my iPod. Now I get my music free on Soulseek and I recommend it for everyone else. There's no viruses like on Limewire, the program is free, the music itself is free, everything is uploaded by individual users, and there's never any copyright issues (even though you get music for free).

Whipped out the old Tool albums the other week and started giving them a playthrough, as well as getting my hands on the "latest" album, 10,000 Days. Great stuff.

I'm playing Oblivion at this moment and Candlebox is playing inside the game as background music. But I have a wide range of taste, and yes I went to Jamaica last year because I love reggae.

Oooooh...I discovered them 2 years ago and love them. Went up to London in the car with friends for another friend's 26th birthday mashup and obviously wasn't feeling great on the car journey home. A friend cracks out The Dark Third discs and it made the journey back a lot more enjoyable smile.gif new album soon hopefully. On a similar prog rock vein (more guitar less harmonising instrumental, however) is Porcupine Tree who have been around for bloody ages. Their album "Deadwing" is one of my favourites.

After just checking the PRR myspaz page I notice they're actually supporting Porcupine Tree in October on their mini-euro tour. So go them.

On more related "currently listening to" news:

Protest The Hero - All their stuff.

Probably the most technical modern band that I know of with an excellent mix and balance of vocals that's more technical than heavy. The vocal range that he can pull off is just astonishing.

Blindfolds Aside -- the last minute of this track is immense with an excellent build up throughout

Heretics & Killers -- answers what happened to the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz laugh.gif
