2) Shadow of the Colossus - Too crap to be bothered with. Quit after 4 Colossi

I played that game, too. I managed to beat it...However, it's not all that good. The ending made no sense.

If you think that one is bad, try playing ICO (the prequel, kinda). That one's gameplay QA department consisted of a gimp and a mental patient. Atmospheric it may be, fun it is not.

I beg to differ, good sir! I had plenty of fun playing ICO (albeit short-lived) and hence part of my disappointment when I discovered that SOTC was such pants. blink.gif
ninja_lord666
I have to agree with kark. Ico was quite fun. Although it was quite strange. Also, SotC is the prequel to Ico. The ending scene shows that.

Huh, well, to each their own I guess. ^^ I found the puzzle solving/platforming combined with having to constantly stop those annoying demon things from carrying off that weak girl you're forced to babysit a cocktail for extreme frustration personally. XD

Anyway, this thread isn't about Ico specifically, so let's let this get back on-topic...

COMPLETELY RANDOM ADD-IN! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I'm Always either playing Morrowind or Oblivion. Morrowind keeps my Interest, and so does Oblivion, but my graphics card is not good enough to allow me Passage to anything except Bruma, Chorrol, and Skingrad.
dry.gif
Horrid really. But either way I Love them both Dearly. Not to mention such modifications galore to Enjoy and Explore....huh.gif wait... did I just rhyme...? blink.gif

...Anywho, anyone with a good graphics card should get good Service.

Does he look familiar? (hint: look at my Avatar)
Click to view attachment Preeeettty crappy ScreenShot by normal Oblivion Standards.... oh well happy.gif.
Tears of Dawn
I'm currently playing: Dawn of Magic - a spell based Hack'nSlash.

you have the choice between 4 different caracters (for example: old, fat monk) and 3 convitions: good, neutral, evil... biggrin.gif

the player has the ability to learn many skills like crafting, enchanting items...

it's great fun and has a good story, but sometimes quite difficult... wink.gif
Paul Emil
Recently played: Galactic Civilizations 2: Gold Edition.
Life-destroyingly addictive is a good way to sum it up. A fifty odd dollar price makes it brilliant value for money (~£25). It's effectively Civilization 4...in SPACE!

Also played: Just Cause
Fun for a good while, but late into the game it becomes very samey and difficult. Still, parachuting across an archipelago isn't something you get to do every day, is it?

Still playing: UT2K4 Ballistic Weapons mod. So fun, so bloody gory and so loud! The railgun is a particular fave of mine.
"Paul stumped Kragoth's already stumpy head" Hahaha! Or mabye for the .50 cal machinegun: "Paul put a .50 through Kragoth's idiotic face".

Like Tears of Dawn above I have been playing Dawn of Magic, there are some good ideas in the game i.e. the way that you can mix and match the 96 available spells into different combinations, but I was a bit disappointed with the later levels, nothing really changes except the baddies are stronger, OK so are you and your character can create better enchantments, but the stuff that you find is all exactly the same as in the previous levels.

I just installed Dark Messiah today and will be having a crack at that later on.
WoogieMonster
I'm currently playing Act of War: High Treason (kinda old but still fun to me) and Company of Heroes.

At the moment I am playing Oblivion, Demon Stone, Final Fantasy XII, Onimusha (the whole series) and Devil may cry 1, 2 and 3.
Blacksnake89
For Pc I play Oblivion and Warhammer 40,000's Dawn of war : soulstorm and occasionally WoW with friends.
For Xbox 360 I play COD4 and BF: bad company.
I like Dawn of war's style of RTS. I love how the races are set up and how none are over powered...except Necron smile.gif.

I like COD4's style it rewards you and your team for kill streak's with radar, airstrikes, and chopper support. The guns are great, the action is fast paced, and unlike halo leveling up actually means something. You can customize your fighting style through "perks". You get 3 perks blue, red, and green. Blue perks augment your equipment such as more ammo, more grenades, AP mines, C4, RPG, or a bomb detector. Red augment your ability to fight usually through your gun. Red perks include extra gun damage, extra health, increased rate of fire, radar jammer, carry 2 primary weapons, or increased explosive damage. Green perks augment various character attributes such as longer sprinting, steadier hip aim, steadier rifle shots and more breath, better bullet penetration. Green perks can also give you counter attacks such as last stand, when your HP reaches 0 you fall and pull out your pistol for one last attempt to get a kill. There is also martyrdom, drop a live grenade when you're killed. You can also customize your guns with attachments such as, grenade launchers, better sights, long range scopes, MG grips, or silencers.
This game combines my 2 favorite things in online play, leveling and character customization. My favorite class I call gunner, I carry an M60E3 with red dot sight and a golden deagle .50, extra ammo, increased damage, and last stand. My next class I call spec ops. I carry a silenced P90 with a silenced M1911A1 custom. My perks are bomb squad, UAV jammer, and dead silence. this class is literally undetectable unless you physically see me. This class is made to throw my enemies off guard and hunt down snipers. It's near worthless in a fire fight but I can sneak around enemies and knife them from behind or sneak up on heavily dug in opponents.
My class I use in my clan battles however is one I call the invis-a-tube. The invis-a-tube takes an M14 with an M203. My perk 1 is blocked by the GL, my perk 2 is UAV jammer and perk 3 is martyrdom. This class was designed to sneak around and rain death from the flanks. I equip the "noob tube" because it's the streak killer. It takes no skill to kill with and very little time to learn. I equip the M14 so when I run out of grenades I have a high caliber rifle to back me up and I'm a damn good shot with it. Lastly martyrdom is there for a last bit of annoyance and chance to get a kill or 2 while dead. Over all this class is meant to annoy my opponents and frustrate them hoping to throw off their concentration while my team stays in control. While using this class I notice my opponents try to target me leaving them vulnerable to the rest of my clan.

I'm currently playing Halo 3 on LIVE. Even for all its flaws, it's an absolute blast. I'm also playing Gears of War, and Spider-man 3. I've started to play through the original Deus Ex again as well.
Micko
Been playing lots of GRID online.
forsaken_epicentre
not really that new, just still really good game. Gothic 2, alot of I love and wish there way to put those aspect into oblivion. The Fact you can hunt down ever live thing take something from it and sale it on the open market. You can find gold cash all over the place, not just gold, but potion, scrolls most on dead bodies. Chest are filled all things usefull and unuseful... It a little more adult theme as well. Very comical things you can do that just make you wow that was cool.I have never really beaten this game, nor the gothic 3 might as try it for that...

Witcher, love it its a good change of pace. different endings different action cause to change the course of the game, nothing hardly plays out the same. There is not really good or evil the same goes with gothic, I like playing the gray character. Fallout was great about that, I hope they do not screw that up.

Medieval total war 2 I have to have tactical fix, Playing the Danes Teutonic order, Holy Roman Empire.... that might expand why I like the Nords so much in oblivion.
Stampede

Oblivion, always.

And when I want to unwind, Hitman: Bloodmoney. I have not bought a game since those 2 and to be honest I don't know if I ever will.
gman021
I'm currently playing a bit of Oblivion (less time now that school has started though sad.gif ). I am mostly playing "Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy." It is quite fun for a game that is 6 years old... ^_^

Currently I'm back with Oblivion and looking for the latest MODs.

Before that , in the last few monthes;

reverse order:

Witcher enhanced edition - Good upgrades from the original, improved motion capture, additional dialog.
Legend - Good graphics, the game save option could use some work. It doesn't save at the point in the game you are at. So if you want to stop
and take a break or if your computer hanges up or crashes. You could end up replaying a section of the game. Your stats are'nt lost just your
place in the game. (don't understand it) Of course its a great way to increse skills and levels.
Gothic 3- Its a bit more weapon based, The story line is good, Like Witcher what you do in game could have ramifications later.

I just picked up NWN2 Storm of Zehir. Haven't Played it yet.
