Hello from the University of Exeter. This is the first of many editor's word columns from my new home in Exeter University halls. For those of you who don't read the forums you can read up on my recent going's on here. I've had a great "Freshers" week, met lots of great people, met a few idiots and some geeks, hopefully the same geeks that will be playing network games of Neverwinter Nights with me a little later on in the year.

With that said it does mean that, for the time being, the amount of time I can devote to the site has decrease. If you email me with questions or queries it might take a while for me to answer you. Hope you all understand.

I enjoyed my time at Uni, do the same! You have a life to lead and no one should begrudge you the opportunities offered. Of course we understand.

Just don't forget the cakes and champagne we were promised!

DarkOne, you are making me feel ancient! I have been a fan of your site in all it incarnations for 3 years. You must be a computer genius already! Good luck at Exeter. I hope you don't drink too much - I was a Uni counsellor for 5 years and alcohol related problems were the # 1 issue young people brought to me. It is a real shame there aren't more places for young people to socialise that are not related to drinking (off my soap box) (In Berkeley Ca. we had coffee houses) Pack your wooly socks. We are supposed to have another heavey winter. I hope you can keep the site going - maybe there will be folks out there who can give you a hand when studying gets intense. Good luck to you.
