note, this idea was inspired by the twilight zone, not the name. was watching the marathon and came up with his idea during the episode about the dolls in the trash bin (forgot the title)

setting: a large white building that looks official, with many other buildings connected by walkways, none of them are more than 6 stories tall, except for a large tower int he center that stretches up into the sky. there are monster, animals, and many surprises in THE ZONE. the buildings are in a clearing surrounded by a forest, a few miles into the forest is "the ring" where the trees stop for about a half mile. You must survive, while also finding out how you all got there, and how to get out. The 4 most northwestern buildings are locked up, and strange noises come from within

there will be people called "zone forgers" that have a character, but can cause strange vents and problems to happen. if you are one, please type "zone forger" by whatever your having happen as one. in order to become a "zone forger" you must get permission from me, and i will only allow 3 others to be a "zone forger" zone forgers cannot go nuts with they're rights, if they do, they will be stripped of their rank

the building appears to have been an office building, as there are desks, and computers all over. The computers have no internet access, and seem to have little to no information on most of them. there is a cafeteria that always seems to have a can of unopened beans, and some bananas in it. it has a parking garage that has one car and a motorcycle. The building's generator may not run out of gas, but it cannot power the hole building at once, and cannot power half of the building if the computers are turned on

rules: no heavy swearing/ mild swearing such as "damnit" or "Oh poo" are allowed, but dont overdo it.
no god characters or monster people (people with mild cybernetic enhancements allowed, like a bionic eye and a bionic arm. Mutated people who dont have superpowers are allowed too.)
no venturing past "the ring" unless some odd coincidence created by me or another appointed zone forger happens.
no controlling someone else's character (zone forgers can do mild things that dont interfere with actions that have already been posted"
guns must run out of ammo at some point
please choose something that you would normally wear at some point that would be fitting to your character
such as, suit for someone who sits behind a desk, or an officers uniform for a high ranking officer at a cerimony. or for a housewife, a dress.
try not to pick the same job/outfit as someone else
you may appear with a weapon, and be violent, but try not to kill the players, there will be other stuff for you to kill

appearance: he has long shaggy brown hair to about between his shoulder blades. He appeared in a martial artist outfit with hsi bo-staff. his eyes change color sometimes from blueish grey to green

special skills: third degree black belt in tae kwon do, and a blue belt in brazilian jujitsu, his senses are very accute, andhe has dog ears (he can hear a dog whistle/very very high pitched noises that most people cant hear) because of thus, he is very sensitive to loud noises and high pitches noises.
handicaps: flat feet, and he broke his shoulder once, so it can get cramped when he raises his right arm sometimes. he hates to kill stuff. afraid of highs, and the dark, and having his feet bitten/stung. He has an unnatural fear of bugs that look freaky or bite/sting. (not spiders)
biography (make it one or two paragraphs long, no longer than that): He is sort of bipolar, and is most comfortable ont he ground or swimming. He doesnt remember much about who he is

Calliton awoke to find himself on an air matress. He stood up to find that noone was around. "Hello!" he called out, in hopes someone would hear him...

job: none/petty criminal
special skills: first degree black belt in kempo-ju jistsu. was injected with a serum which allows him to see through walls, clothes for a limited amount of time. Is not afraid of anything and is willing to do anything regardless of how dangerous it is.
handicaps: Cannot control when he can see through walls it happens randomly. had a horrible childhood and occasionally has flashbacks.
biography: had a bad childhood. when his entire family died when he was 18 he turned to a life of petty crimes like mugging, stealing and even murdered someone.


Craig gets up from the ground and smells the fire.

he then sees the fire in the distance and decides he is going to go check it out.

calliton looked around for something, aything to fight the fire with. his eyes fell upon a hose. quickly he dropped his staff and turned ont he hose... nothing. untill suddenly water came streaming out, dousing the fire partly, this would take a while

appearance: very athletic build with shaved head and dark brown eyes, He arrived in his ACU's (desert military uniform if you dont know) and he arrived with his Ka-Bar.

special skills: All the special training of Marine Force Reconnaissance , Eight years of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and greco roman wrestling,Very agile ,Overall amazing athlete Run,Jump,Swim or whatever
handicaps: Not really anything scares him so He may sometimes bite off more than he can chew, He has had a few major concussions which makes him more prone to have a head injury ,He is a very high risk taker a daredevil if you will.
biography:Tyler is a United States Marine in Force Recon he is a master of hand to hand combat. He will never harm an innocent person Unless provoked or attacked.


Tyler woke up and felt a rigid surface in his back, As he moved and started to get up he fell through a thin metal roofing and landed on a table and cracked a rib,Slowly getting up in pain he walks out the building and spots a fire, He figures if he goes to the fire there should be some emergency personnel which he believes he despretly needs, hes confused,does not know where he is and possibly has a broken rib .

"What the hell was i doing on the roof...,where am I ?,pretty big fire , i should go check it out."

calliton saw a man comign towards him, clutching his side. when he got closer calliton eylled, "take this hose! i got to get ont he other side"

Tyler thought this was very unusual , But he took the hose without hesitation.

"Where am I? , Where is everybody?"

calliton was off like a shot tot he other side of the building, praying that he could find another hose.
he was in luck as another hose was there that worked

As the man that Tyler just talked to became faint in the distance, he realized that he was all alone for the time being . Tyler then set the hose on the base of the fire to help relive the flames and hopefully regroup with the stranger later.

Craig sees the fire shrinking.
"there must be someone....or something putting that fire out"

he then rushes forward to find a person holding a hose spraying water at the fire. he looked like he was in pain holding his ribs like that.

craig walked toward the man with hesitation just in case the man doesn't take to others kindly.

zone forger: the fire has died down, but strange noises can be heard from the locked building directly to the east, and it looks like rain soon

calliton walked back to the mystery man to find another person with him he walked over cautiousely

As the fire starts to die down Tyler sees the sky and smells the rain As he turns off the hose he hears footsteps he quickly does a 180 turn and pulls out his ka-Bar and spots a man with a black sweatshirt, Seeing him as not one to cause trouble he lowered his knife.

"who are you , And where are we?"

Then out of the corner of Tyler's right eye he spots the other mystery man , Waiting for a response Tyler is startled by various sounds he has never heard before from a building in the northwestern corner.

calliton approached and stopped as he heard the strange noises

Zone Forger: the sounds grow very loud for about 10 seconds then die down to the original volume

"my name is craig. who are you guys. and i have no idea where i am i just remember i had just mugged....nevermind."

craig then pauses as the sounds grow very loud

"what was that, im gonna go check it out if anyone is with me"

calliton gave a respectfull bow and said, "my name is calliton, i know nothing else about who i was before this." with a twirl of his staff to a ready position he said, "lets check it out"

Zone forger: it will begin to rain heavily in the next post






p.s. hey guys, im gonna rewrite this as an actual story if thats okw ith you all. i really think i could write something good and long with this. of course everyone who participates would be mentioned int he begining. also it will have good grammer and spelling. also i have this going in another forum so i might do that one instead, or just change my character's name and make it a sequel or something.

Zone Forger: Theres another noise in the background, a low, electrical humming.

SUddenly, a masked figure appears out of nowhere.

appearance: Unknown, noones ever seen his face, which is covered by a black mask, he also wears a suit of OctoCamo, which along with his mask, can blnd into any scenery instantly.

job: Free-lance assassin/killer/mercanerie/spy/ninja

special skills: Skilled with snipers and pistols, skilled with his double Sai, master of camoflage, espionage, disappearing an hiding, is VERY stealthy. He is also quite good with technology.

handicaps: Tendancy to be rude, gets the job done no matter what (good and bad i guess...), you can't really trust him TOO much (he's very sneaky.)

biography:He's been in any wars, but not on the frontline, he refers to hold back and snipe, or sneak past enemys and atttack them from behind. He never had many friends, but the ones he DID have he took care of, just before The Zone, he was hired by a PMC to kill a certain person (MGS4 fans will know what i mean, hopefully.)

"Can I fight!? OF COURSE i can fight! Did you see my ID Card, I'm a veteran!"

Zone Forger: Theres a door on the far side of the room, scratching noises can be heard behind it.

Off:sorry i was off for a while

On: "Ok lets get to it, Thjose sounds are annoying"

calliton led the way to the doorm his bo staff at the ready. he jiggled the handle but nothing happened, and the lock looked like it had been cemented just. "give me a second and ill break it open" calliton syood infront of it, his eyes closed and his hands infront of him, one enclosing the other.

Tyler taking this short moment to scout out the area. "im going to check out the building realy fast" Tyler quickly walks around the building spotting the boarded up windows and a L shaped small tire iron " this could come in handy" Tyler then proceds back to the group.

calliton opened his eyes and quickly ran at the door. he jumped and lashed out his leg, forcing the door against the hinges and down onto the ground. as his foot connected with the door he let out an extremely loud karate shout, he then back away, panting like an animal and growling some as the stunned creatures that were behind the door looked at each other and then at the group.



zone forger: the creatures are not unlike a human, but they all see to have strange mutations, and some look like they never were human

Tyler quickly assesess the situation and knows the group could take the unknown creatures, But the best corse of action would to get out of the area, For now .

"Guys I think we should get out of here for now, I know we can take them but this can be disscussed later"

Craig looks at the creatures and studies them

"woah. looks like something you would see on that fallout 3 game"

he then laughs.

"from the looks of it we can take them easy. of course they dont seem to be to hostile. as a matter of fact they seem to be sort of scared...but not scared of us scared of something else"

Craig then turns around and his eyes widen as he sees....

Zone Forger: a Big super mutant looking creature stand behind the group with a look of anger in his eyes.

"oh damn...."

Assessing the situation , tyler sees that the large super mutant is blocking the way to leave so the only option is to fight.

"i hope all of yall have decent combat experience"

Riku seems to have disappeared...

Then, out of nowhere, two swords ciome ripping out of the super mutants chest.

The beast falls to the ground. Theres still nothing there, the swords have disappeared aswell. Then Riku appears.

"Miss me?"

"well then, I could have done that... , anyways... back to the matter at hand" Tyler turned around "oh, Damn ,where are those little mutant thingies?"

zone forger: the monster have retreated back, and seem to become hostile

calliton, still in his primal rage ran through the doorway, bo staff whirling as he took down all of them, his shouts ringing the very souls of the people there. hit after hit, could be heard as bones cracked, and heads popped until finally calliton walked out, slumped over. he sat down, head in his hands as he started to cry

Aaron finds himself in a section of the main building with no one around and begin calling, "Hello? Anybody here?" Gates hears some scratching and other odd noises and pulls out his baretta. "Ah, great, another cluster I've found myself in and this time it's not even about one of my boardmembers trying to screw me over."

"you know guys you could have saved a little action for me" Craig said jokingly

"i mean really i didnt get to kill one thing come on guys"

Zone Forger: a small explosion is heard in the distance

"calliton continues to cry, as his emotional state is in the crapper, but he manages to get up and lean against the wall

"You have got to be kidding me. Strange noises, yells, the sounds of bodies being destroyed and now explosions! What the Hell have I gotten myself into this time?"

Tyler spots a office building with lights on , with no other alternitave tyler belives this is the only good option. "Guys theres a office building with power over there, I vote on us going over there ,Calliton i dont know what happened there but we need to get moving." Tyler puts the tire iron on his belt and searches the dead large mutant, Nothing of use exept for a mysterious key around his neck " this could be usefull" he takes the silver key and puts in in his cargo pocket.

Off:I got to go to work in a bit so i wont be on for about eight hours.

"Tylers right, we need to get into that office building, it may be more danerous, but it'll be easier to see wit the lights i there."

"Two people should scout ahead, and make sure it's safe for calliton, i doubt he's in a fightng state. I'll go ahead, Craig or Tylr, whch one of you is coming with me, and who's staying with Calliton?"

Aaron walked over to a computer with his baretta still out and began to sift through the scant files while scanning the level for dangers. "What the heck? 'The Zone?' What place is this?"

calliton nodded in silence as he sat down and said, "ill be fine in a minute..."

"Good, cause we need to get out of here."

Riku walks over to the other side of the room. Theres some glowing, gooey stuff. It's running down the wall. Riku looks up, to see a man covered in this goo, and stuck to the ceiling. He's dead.

"Holy crap..."

Looking around, Riku finds an ammo box. Opening it, he finds som sniper ammo.

"Good, I'm runnig low..."

calliton stood ther, his head bowed as he waited for riku

"Calliton, can you walk? Something bads happening here, we need to go. I don't think our combined experience is enough.."

Zone forger: Shadowey figures are running around the room in a circle, its hard to make out what, or who they are...

Riku takes out his sniper. "We could use some of your rage calliton..." he says, just as one of the creatures runs out of the circle at Riku. Riku bats it off with his weapon, unloading 5 bullets into it's head, yet it doesn't die.

calliton stood up and said, "what are tho-" he was cut off as a small chunk of metal metal cut into his shoulder

zone forger: the power is starting to die out

Tyler was following the shadows footsteps in the slpattered blood, his perception of reality was going down the drain but now was not the time for that, he followed the shadows footsteps with his eyes until he slid the tire iron out in front of the shadows feet, The shadow Shuffled. "Come on guys!!!!" tyler said as he was running outside while yelling for the group to hurry up.

"Blast!" he cursed and then noticed some strange goo dripping from the ceiling, he looked up and saw several corpses suspended in the strange substance, he jumped back. "What the!" Aaron began pushing some desks into an improvised bunker and prepared for some kind of attack, he was getting weary, hearing gunshots is never a good sign.
