Wow...looks different, doesn't it?

So, what's new?

Well for starters there's a whole new side to TESSource.net that 99.9% of visitors won't even notice, and that's a completely custom-coded administration area for all aspects of the site. No more editing the site in notepad or Dreamweaver, then uploading it to the site -- it's all handled by the site's backend. What does this mean, though? Well for starters it means I can get more done in less time. It also means that I can take on staff to help with things like adding news, reviews, previews, interviews, FAQs or even content without them needing to know HTML, or how to use an FTP program!

You'll also notice a few new features; there's now a poll on the site, the mod database is linked in with the site's template and has a few new aesthetic features, news is being brought in straight from the forums so no more hacker problems, I've added support for affiliates and links to other fansites, a random image from the collection of Oblivion screenshots is shown on each page load and, of course...the design has changed.

If you're wondering where you've seen this template before then not only are you not mistaken, but you're also a community veteran, since this is the original template of Morrowind Mod Library used way back in 2002. Talk about recycling!

Please let me know what you think of the new look TESSource.net; vote in the poll or inform me on the forums. Feedback is what gets results. Similarly if you find any problems (I don't expect my coding to work first time without a hitch, and I don't expect my testing to be too intricate either!) then please let me know!

Enjoy the new site, I've put a lot of work into it!

Great work Dark0ne! I really like it!

It feels much more appropiate with this template than the last one, ( the last one was kinda boring)

The site feels more alive now and seems to contain a lot more information, hte site feels more alive and detailed.

Altough, there's one feature that I really miss, and thats the menu to the forums, mod librabry etc that popped up so smoothly.

As I said, great work smiley.gif

I'm really chuffed that you have kept working at this site and improving it all the time, in spite of the attacks, etc. I think this must be the second mod site I ever went to after Aldrian's Chalice back in September 2002 when I started to play Morrowind. It has always been one of my favourites - eg one I check almost every day! Thank you again for all your hard work. I like the new look, although I still remember the old one fondly as well. grin.gif

nice to see the new look well done for all the hard work you have put in

Blimey Tamara, Member No. 2995, you have been here a while! Have you been skulking about without saying hello? tongue.gif

It's nice to know that people prefer the site change, and what with Oblivion around the corner the site should fill up quite nicely. I'm just hoping the site is as popular as it was back in 2003 when there were 30,000 registrations in 5 months! wink.gif

Thanks again.

Nice change there, Dark0ne - fills one with nostalgic feelings, seeing the old look being revived for TESSource.net; although there's probably no chance of the forum returning to the old skin as well? wink.gif

Which skin are we talking about? I'm considering changing the forum skin...

Edit: Did you mean this one? Ahhh, memories! tongue.gif

Of course I was referring to the old black-grey-orange skin cheesy.gif
