While in Bravil I walked into the Mages guild and suddenly I have the Eye of Night ability. This is nice to have during cave crawls and such, but I cant seem to turn of this ability. I would like to continue the game in all its full colors instead of in a blue tinted world. Any help would be much appreciated

it's most likely added by a mod.
posting the current mods that you're using will help solving the problem.

Thanks for the reply. Ok, here are the mods I have installed:
Better Benirus Manor
CM Partners 2.0
Cute Elf version 16120
Beautiful People V22
And it is Night Eye ability, not Eye of night. I also checked to make sure I dont have any enchanted items and that I have not turned into a Vampire. Thanks for your help

What race is your character? BP includes kynetarse's 'toggle nighe eye' ability, but according to bg2408, that script was borked(I found that from BP thread on BGSforum once, but the thread is gone now). So if any Khajiit NPC casts Night Eye(if it happens), instead of that NPC, you will get that ability.

I am a Red Guard. Maybe that is what happened, anyway to control it?

i know one way... die... try a new character , go to where you got it from and see ifit happens
you could also try casting another night eye spell, perhaps the timer going out will cause it to turn off

Did you drink any potions or cast any spells?
I hope this corrects itself soon. What a bummer.

check the active ffects page of the journal, it may tell you what the ability is coming from

I didnt cast any spells or drink anything. What I finaly did was load a previous save from before the ability started, went to the mages guild to see if it would happen again and it didnt. So as LFact mentioned I may have just wandered in just as a spell was being cast and got in the middle of it. Have not tried the dieing part yet, but will give it a try, just to see what happens. Thanks to all for your inputs!

Next time it happens, I think you can remove it by console:
CODE
player.removespell xx0088EE (xx is mod loading order)
And here's fixed KTKhajiitNightEyeScript(thanks to bg2408):
CODE
Scriptname KTKhajiitNightEyeScript
ref me
Begin ScriptEffectStart
Set me to getself
If ( me.IsSpellTarget KTKhajiitNightEye == 0 )
me.addSpell KTKhajiitNightEye
else
me.removeSpell KTKhajiitNightEye
endif
End
Although 'getself' is not always reliable, it's better than getting Night Eye without casting the spell.....
