Dungeon Keeper was the first PC-game I ever played. It brings back some memories, I remember being about seven years old, sitting and playing it on my new Pentium 133Mhz, It was a really fun game with an unique feel, and a mix of RPG, RTS and Management. Anyone else that have played this Classic?

While it was not my first PC game, I do remember playing that one and having a lot of fun at it. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the CD has got lost, and according to my knowledge, Dungeon Keeper isn't abandonware yet - a pity

Yeah, I liked Dungeon Keeper too. I wish now I hadn't taken it to the Flea Market & traded it away for some money to ..... wow, I forget what even was so important now that we had to hurry to the flea market and trade our games for cash to buy ... what??
I do know now that I miss my Gladiator movie that I traded and A Knight's Tale ... I miss them both. Also Dungeon Keeper and Arx Fatalis, can you believe they even took Arx in trade?

I had the second one, and foolishly traded it for some motorcross game or something. What a waste, it was such an amazing game. More games should make you the bad guy.

it was not only fun but also revolutionary... remember that you could switch between 1sperson fps and normal strategy/buildup mode and go on a rampage with your beast of choice? too sad my pc was toooo slow for that... oh and mocking those darn heros... great!

I have that game *Looks up*...Still working fine for me, sometimes crashes to the desktop but Oblivion does that more then DK (DK doesn't have mods thought), and I did something to the graphics, but it is still fun for me, they don't sell them anymore huh? Well Lucky I haven't lost mine or sold it, I loved converting the hereos to my side and using them, my favorites are Priestess, Fairy, Dragon, Demon Spawn, Mistress and sometimes the Horned Reaper

My favorites were the imps. Trained to level 10, before i even tended to other matters. Of course, in some worlds there wasn't enough time for this.
Those vampires made good fighters if you could keep them separate. And of course the mistress.
I think this game was a very good approach to the problem of AI. And also a very good approach to sarcasm...

i loved that game! played it to death! i would always completely mine out the map after i'd destroyed the heroes. i remember having treasuries that extended for miles.
favorite creatures were the dragon and warlock, and faeries if i could get them.
i also played dk2 into the floor
sadly, eventually both cd's got so scratched they were worthless.

I remember seeing the teaser for DKIII, the reaper would go out to the upper world and end up in a barnyard or something
It was a great game and was worth playing every now and then, great game...

Good old games, good old memories, eh?
I really liked that game, some voices still echo in my ears (p.e. "Your creatures need a bigger trainning room!" or "Your creatures are fighting among themselves!"). I remember the Vampire was my fav unit, along with those nasty Bile Demons

.
I never owned it on CD, I got it installed on a computer we bought from a relative, and since I had my computer upgraded in the last several years, that HDD went missing. Maybe it even got formatted in the meantime.

Heh, it's funny that when I first knew about this game, I didn't even have a PC... In 1997, I was yet a child of 11 years, and a computer games magazine came into my possession. I read the article on DK, and thought, "Wow, this game sure looks fun!" Then, time passed, and 2 years later what happens? We get a computer with Dungeon Keeper installed on its HDD

I still possess a CD of Dungeon Keeper 2, I bought it from internet quite cheap counting that it is no longer on sales really. Makes me happy every time I slaughter the king and summon Horny to destroy the two last stone knights

A jewel in my CD collection

"It's good to be bad" isn't it?
A fact about the cancellation of DKIII: it is because at the same time EA game, the big company who owned bullfrog was negotiating the licence to make Harry Potter games...and when we see what the games are... So as it was a really bad time for them they decided to cancel projects and scatter teams. DKIII was one of them.
(if you want all the information about it go to dungeon-keeper.net or something, all sources are cited )
