I have a small question. How do i get into vault 87??
I did found something of a door but it said that it was inaccessable.
and i died of heavy rad. dam.
Is there a way to get in there or isn't. Or is there another way in.

Little Lamplight.

I went there once and found Fawkes there, but when i checked the map i was still in little lamplight.
And on the map it was still undiscoverd.

If you found Fawkes you were in vault 87, and you were pretty close to the end!

yeah, it wont tell you that youve discovered vault 87, but you get in through little lamplight

yea you have to go through little lamplight and if you dont have good speech then you have to do a side quest.

I guess if you haven't advanced far enough into the main quest, you wouldn't know that little lamplight is an alt. entrance into vault 87, but alas it is. Good job stumbling in.

what do you mean little lamplight is an alternate entrance?

I think the main entrance is where i first was. Were you get massive rad. dam. but i'm not sure though.
Cause there was a door and is said inaccessible, after that i died of rad. dam.

I know you got through it already but still the front door to vault 87 is not ment to be reached the game programers didnt think anyone would be able to get through 2,000 rad/second.

It's possible to do if you hotkey rad-away. Doesn't work if you use the galloping gourmet mod though, which makes rad-away work over time instead of instantly.

Galloping Gourmet is highly underrated.

Ah I remember using up my entire Radaway supply getting that marker. Turns out the rad resistant suit really helps. I wasn't using it though and I went through a couple hundred radaway. At one point in time I was having problems pressing the hotkey fast enough.

yes that would be the only way to get there without mod but im just saying the door is innacessable because the programers wanted to pose a challenge by taking the route through little lamplight.

Well i did had to pop about 40 radaways and i had a rad res. of 85%, so i only got so far by mere luck i think. :-)

I've yet to actually make it to the door, even with the mod that gives a suit that counters radiation and heals you with it, but the fact that radiation doesn't damage you, it just cripples you and then kills you when it reaches a certain level (I'm a radiation fearing man after playing Stalker, that RAD symbol meant death was coming on swift painful wings) I tried hotkeying radaway, but I guess I just didn't figure to tap it like a quick time event till I reached the door. I was pacing to have enough to get back with. If you reach the door, you still don't get the "found" notification? I know the door won't open (though it will if you use it on the inside, but after opening there's a CTD or something soon after and you have to noclip to get there in the vault anyway)
