IS there a plugin for Maya for it to be able to read and edit NIF files.

ANother question have anyone of you guys ever herd of Maya?
I've heard of it... supposed to be an extremely expensive 3D rendering program... MEMod had the latest copy I think, cost roughly $8000. Either you have a very old version, are extremely rich, or we won't discuss the other alternative. 
1) No, it doesn't exist. Or if it does, I've never heard of it. The official plugin is 3dsmax only, but there may be a very tiny chance that someone wrote a plugin for Maya and never announced it.
2) Of course I've heard of Maya. It's about equivalent to 3dsmax. Better for some things, worse for others.
Or he bought it with the student discount, which brings the price down to a reasonable $500-ish. So I wouldn't be so quick to accuse him of piracy.
