Ok, i put the disk in, went all the way through, clicked on install, had a shower, got back... and it says theres an error. It says "
"File E:/Spore/date/spore_Audio1Package Drror: Data error (redundancy check)"
Does anyone have any idea what the hell this means? I really want to install this game on my new laptop, but it won't let me. It also happened on my desktop computer, so i'm guessing it's data on the disk thats the error.
Any help?

I'm not familiar with that particular error but you'll likely need to do a manual search of your drives and your registry to clear out anything relating to Spore.
Of course, it may also have something to do with their copy protection and your best bet would be the Spore forums (which I haven't looked at in quite some time).
Mind you, my best advice would be - don't bother, you'll be happier without this very disappointing game.
Good luck.

I wouldn't say it was disapointing, i have played thid on my desktop computer and i quite liked it, i'm just trying to install it onto my new laptop. And there is NOTHING related to spore in my drives. I'm thinking of downloading "Revo Uninstaller" so IF there is ANYTHING that is related to spore that i have missed, it can get rid of it for me.

Usually redundancy check errors mean your data is corrupted.
Your disc might be dirty or scratched, or your dvd-rom is crap.

How many times you installed the game? depending on when you bought the game you can only install it 3 or 5 times. Unless they removed that stupid feature. It was made so people couldnt pirate the game. So if you installed it 3 or 5 times elsewhere already, that would mean that you cant install it anywhere else.

Nope, I've only installed it once.
Oh, and i've basically given up on this game. It was good, but not worth the trouble.

I think they removed the install cap.
But you're going to need to insert the disk everytime you play it.

It seems that they want to encourage Piracy, by making it impossible to install legal copies of their games. I had to install a cracked .exe in order to play my legally purchased DVD copy of the game. Is it possible to simply copy the Spore folder from your desltop to your laptop?
