I seem to have an irritating problem when playing morrowind!

When walking down a hallway of any type the walls will light up around my character as if i had a light in my hand but I do not!

at first I thought it was something I was wearingbut when I totally stripped it did the same thing! i aslo get weird changes in the lighting when i unequipt any item or weapon or if i loot a corpse and sick something in it the light all around will darken then light up again. This is a minor problem but now Its just pising me off!

does anybody know how to fix this irritating problem?

Have you changed to Quadratic Lightning in the Ini file? If not, try changing to Q lightning and see if its any difference.

How do i do that?

its like a light is always around you "lantern, candle" The description of it did not fully put it in line with my problem...But maybe I am wrong

I would figure that it was either a mod or you have a light enchantment on one of your equipped items. What I would do is remove everything (yes, even clothes) and see if it goes away. And dont say "I know its not on my clothes", just do it ^_^ There is a chance. If that doesnt work then all I could suggest is try removing one mod at a time (you might want the handy 'Yes to all' option selected in your Morrowind.ini, because when you take a mod off, anything that was new and added to it will be gone and it will ask you about every single object, NPC, cell and region that was included in the mod. Unless you already have that option selected. Then you can call me a big idiot for assuming something that I didnt know.

Thats odd. The only thing that comes to mind is a mod gone wild that left some sort of mesh/testure or game file that made your light radius be bigger. Maybe its something in the Morrowind.ini file. You could check in there for something about light raduis.

Oh, I found out what had made that happen!

A crappy mod that somebody had maed 9one of those balmora house mods) had made a reference to the ring of azura but has changed the name but still had the script attached so i had to go back before it was installed (the funny thing is that even though i didnt have it on me it still messed up the whole lighting of a cell
