Would it be useful for your roleplaying enjoyment if I installed a dice rolling system for the forums, that would log rolls people have done. Haven't explored the possibility (whether you can roll a D20, or whether it's just a D6) but if it would be useful in doing some board-game style roleplaying then by all means let me know.
Peregrine
Probably not. The only rule-based rpg threads I've seen have died pretty quickly, since few people actually know the rules system.
Abramul
Wouldn't it just be a matter of tweaking one line of code to set dice number? And as for rules, a (well written) sticky would serve as a handy-dandy reference.
Peregrine
The problem is that those things already exist. When I've tried to run d20 games, I've been willing to send .pdf copies of the books, point people to legal rules sites with 95% of the rules, etc. But few people are willing to invest the time and effort to do it right.

That's to bad cusz RP is fun.. really...
But making a Dice system shouldn't be to hard. If you wish I could try and make one, but my programming knolage is now limited to TI-Basic cusz that's the easiest to do and to take with you. (school, home, small TI-club from school). But I'm starting my C++ tonight I think.. I found a C++ compiler wich actually starts with the downloading.

If you have the time could you send the D&D or AD&D rules?

We meet again Mr Anderson...

This thread is almost a year old. I highly doubt that this issue is of any value anymore. I know you are new so I don't want to come down hard on you but please do not revive dead threads. They smell.

Thanks.
