I've made a few trips to Mournhold in between Nerevarine quests and I always think maybe now I'm strong enough to complete the gobin army quest. I'm currently at level 13 and the goblin handlers in the west sewer still annihilate me every time. Any advice?

Of course, maybe I shouldnt be in a hurry to solve this quest. After all, it's very profitable to go into the sewers, kill a few goblins, sell their stuff and go back to Vvardenfell with at least 5000 more gold than I had before.

Tribunal is set to be a higher level than MW but a lot depends on where you set the difficulty slider. 13 seems very low to me but I play at level 100. You can of course use cheats but I'm hoping that would not occur to you.

A benchmark will be how well you fare with the Dark Brotherhood. If you can beat them the goblin handlers and their Altmer trainers should not be a problem for you. However 13 is far too low from the next quests IMO.

Have you done the miscellaneous quests with Gaenor and Golena Sadri yet? They are also good measures of what level you should be.

WARNING: dont talk to Gaenor no matter what they say!!

The Tribunal expansion was designed to give experienced Morrowind players a new challenge. These players already had characters who had beat the Morrowind main quest.
Depending on your style of play and the difficulty setting, you may be anywhere from level 15 to level 45 after saving Vvardenfell. (a guess)
What level will your character be after finishing the Morrowind main quest?
That is a good level to start the Tribunal main quest.

Gaenor gives valuable lessons in humility.

But no matter if you talk to gaenor at all he will attack you. I had to either fight it out with gaenor when I wanted to get to the temple or I ran for it to the entrance!

I fought him untill he went unconcious than I went to temple. Finally I killed him when half his body got stuck in the floor than Ishot him with some arrows

Ok, thanks for the advice, guys. Looks like it's too early in the game for me to do the goblin quest. Although I did solve the Dark Brotherhood quest, but it wasnt easy.

Nonetheless I think it is worthwhile to make a trip to Mournhold even if you havent completed the original game yet. Like I said it's profitable to make a trip to the sewers if you want to make alot of money fast. The drama quest is also interesting and very profitable if you do it right.
CrazyGilbert
very profitable? dont you only get the amulet and about 3000 for saying them all correctly?

My first time through, I accidentally bypassed all the early Almalexia quests by...jumping into a lich stronghold.

My latest character isn't going to do the Tribunal quests yet. She just made the journey to Mournhold for two reasons:

1. To stop the damn Dark Brotherhood attacks!
Sure they have valuable equipment you can sell. At around level 20 you can get over 100k Septims of loot per attack. She doesn't need the money any more. She is tired of sleeping fully armored and gripping a weapon in her hand. She is tired of holding spells of powerful destruction smouldering just short of completion all night. She is tired of sleeping with one eye open.

2. To learn fortify skill spells!
Many fine enchantments are possible with these spells. Make weapons that almost wield themselves!

I would not suggest going into the sewers at level 13. My level 18 character had trouble down there.

you can always get the amulet of shadows and sneak past em all which my level seven assassin did
