Modeling is about 70% done. A couple fixes to the holes, and some refining of the shell, and it's on to texturing.

Edit: image removed and replaced by new one.

Slow progress is still progress, right?

Modeling is now finished, after taking a lot more work than I'd thought. I finally understand why "no triangles" is not just a polite suggestion. Too bad it took hours of frustration to discover this fact....

Bloody marvelous snale, I must say. Now.. what is a SNALE OF DOOM? And why does your sig say that snale step on you? Snale no step, snale.. crawl?

LoL! Nice Peregrine.

Cool - very nice Peregrine.

Top notch modelling. Nice ^^

First pass at texturing. As the filename says, mutlilayer bump mapped materials with full raytraced reflections = way too long render time. But that's the general idea of what I'm going for in colors.

Yes. 3dsmax + vray for rendering.

Thread: it's a joke between one of my friends and I, which is infinitely funnier if you're one of us. In short form, snails are the things you step on, snales are the huge snail-like monsters that step on you.

The signiature should be obvious with that in mind.

And for the rest of you, it's textured and finished, unless I decide to go back and redo the shell texture (which I'm still not happy with). Here's the first pic, one done for that same friend's birthday:

thats so cool, peregrine. I really dont get how the whole snale thing was thought up but its becoming to be quite original if you know what i mean!

what else do you have?
