I know how to type in the commands, what keys to press, etc. But when I enter a command in the console and hit "Enter", nothing happens. I am running the TES: GoTY edition on my PC. Yes, I have tried searching the forums for a relevant post but have not found one. So please, any help is very much appreciated.

What command are you using?

I have tried a few of the basic ones such as:

player->additem gold_100 ****
player->setstrength ***
etc.

I triple-check to make sure I am typing in the commands correctly, and when I press enter, nothing happens. I'm stumped.

You're looking for output in the wrong place, then -- those commands output nothing to the console.

Try this:

player -> setstrength ***
not
player->setstrength ***

when you click enter, the text should turn blue and nothing else. if the happens then the codes worked. just check your inventory
