Currently my archer is Level 4. But, I heard that in Mournhold you can hire Mercenaries and Pack Animals.

Now, Lvl 4 is too low to go to Tribunal quests etc. so, now Im asking you guys to KIND OF spoil it for me.

All I need to know, is that if I travel to Tribunal. Will there be part of the main quest when I get there? or will some assasin kill me when get there?

cause I wanna go there, buy a pack animal, then go back to Vvardenfell with it.

if there is some sort of attack or something when i get there, please dont tell me what it is. just tell me if something does happen.

thanks
Peregrine
You can go to Mournhold (the city Tribunal is set in) without any problems, it's just as safe as any other city in the game. But once you leave the city to start on quests, you will die fast at low level.
Ukraineboy
ok also, my GOTY addition only came with a map of Vvardenfell.

I'm kind of confused, where is Tribunal? its not on the map, is ti another big island?

No map of Solstheim? Check out the sites UESP and UHS. UHS certainly has annotated maps of Solstheim and I expect Mournhold, though I have never looked. Mournhold is a city with extensive underground sewers.

BTW I'm not sure that you can teleport your Mournhold mercenary (Calvus Horatius) back to Morrowind without a mod. There are companion mods/mercenary hire mods available that do allow you to teleport with them to Mournhold and back and I believe by adding them you will also be able to treat the in-game Mournhould mercenary the same way. If you just want to give Calvus the ability the mod is called something like 'Calvus enhanced'. IIRC it is available at Morrowind Summit.

If I have this wrong would someone correct me!

Once you leave Mournhold, your pack animals and mercinaries stay there. And Mournhold is a magic city so on the world map it shows you're still in Ebonhart. Infact, the whole 'outside' part of Mournhold is infact an interior. The sky is just an object in the CS editor.
Ukraineboy
My map has Vvardenfell in the middle, then Solstheim on the top left corner, then on the bottom left corner is a picture of Mournhold.

I'm confused to where is Tribunal and Mournhold?

also, so I cant transport my pack animals back to Vvardenfell? damn...

Well, Mournhold is far away from Vvardenfell on the mainland of Morrowind according to the game and maps of Tamriel. However, so far as the game itself is concerned, it's actually only an interior cell set to act like an exterior cell, walled in and with levitation disabled so you can't get over the walls and find out nothing's there.

They'd have had to make a huge map in order to point out where Mournhold is, so they just put it in the bottom left corner I suppose.
Ukraineboy
okay, so you cannot exit Mournhold? like there is no actual wilderness?

There is no wilderness but there is a huge sewer which you could say is wilderness.

And, of course, techincally you CAN get over the walls with a good Jump spell, but all there is is a water table. It was a dissapointment to me to find that there was no additional landmass, one of the nicest things about Bloodmoon is the change of scenery.
Ukraineboy
ok im confused by the whole area of The Empire.

is this map correct?

There are quite a few problems with pack animals in MW. Many posters have reported them getting regularly stuck in rocks and lamps etc. As they are only used for carrying stuff use a companion mod. They can carry as easily as animals and can fight for you. You can also equip them with enchanted fortify strength ce armour etc so they can carry a very great deal.

There is one mod where it is very easy to create your own companions. In the latest version these companions breathe water with you, levitate with you and level up. You can have as many as you like although realistically more than two gets problematical.

This is not true! well at least not in my game, I tried everywhere to jump over the wall and you cannot, you just hit an invisible roof, you can't even see over the wall

I hve tied it and I came over the wall ov Mounhold, but if you are over the wall you can't go back to Mournhold (because you are swimming forever in the wildernis).
Dilvish
My characters have never made it over the walls but I believe those who say they have done it. They seem to have lots of trouble getting back into the city but some say they have found a tricky way to do that too.
With a strong jump spell (~40) try to jump over at a corner of the walls. Then keep running at the wall. You can get you character's head up a little above the wall. In first person view you can't see over the wall but if you go into third person view you can see over your PCs head to what's on the other side. The lone and level sea stretching far away.

I apologise, I tried my best to get over the wall (Cheating) but couldn't do so I figured it was just impossible, but I guess numerous people have done it! By the way... are the moderators off the job? ^ double post^
Morrowind_Master
I was cheating to. first time appears a messege. the second time I jumped over the wall. If you jumped over the wall, you can't go back. you are bannished in the wildernis.
