Ald Sotha was the original base for the minor house Sotha, and after Mehrunes Dagon and his army destroyed it and his followers, he went off his trolley and built that friggin' clockwork city.

Really? Where did you hear that? Never knew good old Soth had his own house...
And why isn't there a Neravine house?
Adrian Laguna
Oct 28 2003, 01:32 AM
Of course there is a Nervarine house. Just check any page listing housing mods, there should be two or three (or four, or five).

How would that fit into the storyline of Tribunal...at all? sure it would be cool but you would seriously have to manipulate the main storyline a lot, something that bethseda discourages a lot.
So the big question is, will it be 1) believable 2) fit into the storyline and 3) help clarify any holes in the Tribunal quest.
I can certainly think of some really fun ways to incorporate this sorta thing, but did this modder?
And if you have one could you send me a link to the site (if there is one)?

Remember though, the Tribunial can't truly die unless Lorkhan's heart is destroyed. So technically, they should have had an alternative Tribunial stroy line where you go to the clockwork city and do jobs for Sotha Sil and eventually destroy Almalexia cause she went mad.

That would require editing large parts of the game, like the scripts, making the quests, etc. So it can't be done. And one theory I have is that not everything was created using TESCS...:blink:

I've mostly hung out over at the Official Forums, and the Sotha Sil Alive concept was strong for a while over there. Here was the plan which seemed most logical of those proposed:
Sotha Sil travelled forward in time as Almalexia approached, for but a few moments then. He arrived in the High Chapel after Almalexia was slain, and began to settle his final business. When he is complete, he will travel back to meet his fate, which he is prepared for.
Also, if anybody kills him during these quest, a script will activate to instantly kill the PC. No violating the timeline allowed. :angry2:
There are also a Sotha Sil model on Euro-Morrowind awaiting animation, a Sotha Sil NPC(admirably done), and a suit of Sotha Sil-inspired armor I put together.

Well, I could think of something that COULD fit in a little bit... (making this up as I go along)
Sotha Sil is a man-god correct? Just like Almawhatever and Vivec. He is also a master robotics person...
Now, what if all of his fabricants had this program installed on them (bad choice of words, I know) that would "revive" him, so to say, if he ever died. In other words... he would become...
The Sotha-Sil-anator!
*dramatic music*
Right... back to schoolwork :stupid:

There is no House Sotha. Sotha Sil was a loyal follower of Nerevar. There is, furthermore, no House Nerevarine. There are five Dunmer Houses, and that's it-- Dres, Hlaalu, Telvanni, Redoran, and Indoril. PLEASE don't make up stuff that isn't true- this is not the story forum.

So did Sotha Silhave a Napoelon complx, what with the city of 'Ald Sotha' and all...

Ald Sotha is Daedric ruin, not "Napoleon." And Ald Sotha is in no way related to the god Sotha Sil. It is merely a name coincidence.

Napleon complex usally means that the person believes that they have to have something named after themselves or they aren't good enough.

Being that you were (and this is a major spoiler, so stop reading if you haven't completed the main quest) Lord Indoril Nerevar, you'd think you'd have the option of rejoining House Indoril. Or even wearing the armor without Ordinators jumping down your throat.
Stormscape
Dec 14 2003, 10:35 PM
Ordinators not jumping at you and getting turn to dust by you would be possible through a quick rescript of the Ordinator attack script. Like
CODE
if ( GetJournalIndex C3_DestroyDagoth => 50 )
return
endif
would be added at the beginnig. I think that's the name of the journal for destroying Dagoth not sure though.
The House Indoril thing though...
well... Indoril is only prominent on mainland Morrowind, and in fact only Hlaalu Redoran and Telvanni EVER were on Vvardenfell.

Ah, milord, you forget that while the Dwemer craftlord's tools being in the hands of house Dagoth has resulted in the corrupt tribunal losing their divine invicibility!

No-- The Tribunal's godly powers faded when the PC destroyed the Heart of Lorkhan. The Tribunal used to make annual trips to the Heart to restore their power, but this by no means denotes any fading of power. Dagoth ur did take the tools from Nerevar, and was corrupted by them. This is the only time House Dagoth was in posession of the tools, until Dagoth-Ur attacked the Tribunal on a restorative trip to Red Mountain, and reclaimed the tools.
