The problem is you're trying to use an xbox. Sell it and buy a PC, then Morrowind will work.

The XBox CD recognition is total cr@p I've found. If at first it claims there is no disk or something, turn it off and turn it back on again (don't restart it). It should, hopefully, then recognise the disk and play it. If it doesn't then... keep trying? I dunno. Is the disk scratched?
