Full Version: One-Liners and Vigilantism in MEMod Forums
The Nexus Forums > Specific Games > Morrowind > The Middle-Earth Mod > General MEMod Discussion

Just to warn you all; I've requested that MEMod forum moderators begin deleting one-liner posts and vigilante posts in the MEMod forums. Its increased recently, especially after someone's posted something ridiculous and I'm not exactly liking it - remember: A deleted post means -4 to your post count.

If someone posts a stupid theory, a stupid idea on how to keep this mod going or the like, leave it to the people who's job it is to deal with these things - noteably the MEMod PR People.

You've all been warned.
Peregrine
Just as an addition, the normal rules against vigilante posting have NOT suddenly disappeared. You can and will get strikes for continued vigilante posting.

I suggest all of you review THIS THREAD.

I understand about the ideas thing being banned because they were just getting out of hand. But as for one liners does that mean all one line posts in all threads and all situations?
Illuvarin
Lets say the stupid post, which do nothing but increase your postcount...
Review the recent posts from Slaiv if you need an example.

How the hell could the post from Slaiv be an example (if you think about the one in READ THIS BEFORE POSTING IDEAS!!!!! )? He stated that he didn't think that the old stickies were useless, which in my opinion is a fair statement. Should he had written a whole lot of BS so it was more than a one-liner, Iluvarin? That seems ridiculous to me.

pharzon..

Thanks for that..... happy.gif

As for me, I don't really care about post count. It doesn't really mean anything....

I also don't think that this represents a post done for post count:
QUOTE
Uhhh, they're not exactly useless......

Out of context it does, but the post before reads:
QUOTE
most people wont even notice this sticky in the sworms of other stickies...why not unsticky the other stickies since they are now usless...and just keep this one up?

In context, it is a valid response to a question. The other stickies contain important info, such as the TOS, rules, etc....

Being a vigilante is my biggest problem, and I have stopped that since Peregrine told me to.
