Let me just get this off of my back -
Due to the recent news of the MEMod closing its doors, many of the members of MWSource are leaving the forums, saying things such as "this is my final post," etc...
Let me beg you - don't leave. Just because the MEMod has closed, doesn't mean that this community has to fall apart. This is by far the best online community I have ever been a part of. You all helped make it that way. Please, don't leave just because of this. If anything, you should stay. There may be hope yet, be it in another mod, or a change of someone's heart, allowing the mod to be continued. Leaving isn't going to help anything.
Like Daerk once said:
The road goes ever on and on.......
Dare you travel it?

Perhapse Daerk insinuated the path he stood on while mythodically pointing to the path that does indeed end. I hope you all like Rome.

I'd love to see what the team could do, but I'm afraid it's not the same... This was Middle Earth! As I have said in another thread I will probably drop by from time to time, desperately clinging to a fading hope. But if the team decides to do anything after recovering from this blow, and I find out about it, rest assured that I will follow that work, too, for if I have learned one thing from the MEMod-time it is that this is an incredibly talented bunch of people! But for now, I have just copied down the plot from the 'What was MEMod to be, then?' thread for a trip through the valley of melancholy... Probably shedding a tear when I see what I have lost!

Don't leave - you can't just let this community fall apart....
If anything, you should stay at a time like this....

I will stay in the hope of something comes out of this black hole, and Slaiv it seems more people are posting in the last few days, or rather more posts are being made from fewer people.

Hehehe... Although I have been preocupied with other things in my life recently... I have No intention of leaving the boards. This place is WAY too much fun for me to leave because an important mod was shut down...
The Flightlessbird is stayin' whether you like it or not

I will be leaving the forums shortly - but this has nothing to do with the MeMod being canceled, and my going away is just temporary. I will be leaving for France in two weeks, and I am going to stay there nine months - that is, till June/July 2005. Odds are I won't check the forums every day as I used to, but I will still try to log in at least once a month - and, in any case, I will be back for the Christmas Holidays, for a couple of weeks.
I have no plans of completely abandoning these forums, however, so you'll have to continue enduring my presence. The only reason why I started visiting these forums was the MeMod, but now I also love the forums themselves, so, MeMod or not, I shall remain

Hey, whatever happened to the Iredior Conspiracy?

Iredior has been having some serious technical problems, and we're currently taking stock to see what can be done. We really need to find a way to solve those problems if we want to be able to continue.
Unfortunately, Ghorgareth is having problems with his computer at the moment, and I haven't had the time in the last few days to post requests for help - as I think you'll understand

If anyone here thinks they can help sort out some serious recurring file merging problems, please send me a pm.

Maybe all the memod team can join iredior and make it an even better mod

At least, it will preoccupy you all for a while

Hey guys, I got an idea, Although I'll probably get thwapped
Second best book to make into a mod (ME is the best) is... Terry Pratchetts discworld! (oh yeah!)

Although about 5 of the 500 of you will actually say anything positive

[hint]I like the Iredior Idea.....[/hint] You could turn that into the new MEMod..... By that, I mean the next must have uber-mod for Morrowind. The MEMod can never be replaced.
Other than that, I suggest making your own world. Working with copyrighted works will most likely lead to the same thing happening.

I don't think the forum will lose many of those who post regularly outside the MeMod forum, Slaiv. Why should it? Most people join the forum to download mods and then find out it can be helpful to the game. Those who were here only for MeMod will go because they are not still interested in MW as a game. But I doubt if they ever posted in the main forums much.
My sympathies go out to the team and all the hard work they put in. I hope something can be salvaged. Main thing is, in a rather poor analogy with boxing, knocked out is not dead. Life goes on.
And a bit of encouragement helps!
So three cheers for 'our' 'men' - and that's two bits of encouragement!

It just seemed that every few posts there would be someone saying "Farewell" or "this is my last post" - something to that effect.

Well, you arent about to loose me. I'm afraid that I too check this board EVERY time I get online, even if its not every day. There is only one way I would leave. Ok, maybe two. But no more! Ok, fine. Theres only one reason I would leave an thats if Dark0ne banned me

but I dont think any of us want that, now do we. =o)
I'm very sorry about the MEMod.

Gutted, read about ME in PCGamer and when I visit..... this
I have a suggestion, (I'm new to these forums not read every thread so bear with me if someones already suggested this), register a charity, see then if they make threats of court action. In the UK if you do it as a "charitable company" you'll need 4 trustees and each one can only be made liable for a max of £1.
