Ive had morrowind on xbox 4 a while but i cant decide which armour type is the best. wacko.gif

Depends on what you want to do with it. I personally like light armor. Glass armor gives nice protection, and doesn't weigh much. Heavy armor, however, holds much more enchant points. Protects more too. But it weighs a ton. smile.gif

durr!!! Enchant a Daedric Curiass with Fortify Strength. Get 20 more strength max. Daedric Shield give you up to 50 more. There. Your armor is weightless wink.gif

This question depends on the person playing, But if there was a choice i would pick
Ebony because its got a good AR close 2 daedric and weights a little bit less (K). cool.gif

Enchanting with feather would be good too in order to decrease how the armor effects your encumbrance. Your armor type also depends on what your character is good at. If he has high agility, go with light armor, if he has high endurance go with medium or heavy.

This is exactly what I did. I enchanted my daedric katana, greaves, helmet, right pauldron, boots, and tower shield CE to fortify strength. The daedric tower shield allowed me to CE fortify strength 45 points all by itself. All totalled, on just the daedric armor that I have, my strength is 150. That makes my carrying capacity 850 or so. So when wearin my armor and carrying standard potions (healing and restore and whatnot) and lock picks, I still only walk around with half of my carrying capacity taken up. biggrin.gif

Well if your a warrior-and don't bother with enchanting your armor-then i would still stick with heavy armor or medium..
Mage? I suggest light...
Prefer clothes? Unarmored smile.gif

nothing says you cant go with a mix either, and theres no penalty for how much you wear (except the weight of the armor itself....) so its not that big a deal.

My character from about *checks calender* 1 1/2 years ago (my second MW character...) consistently wore a mix of armor types, and made it pretty dang far into the game. You can always get the huge armor bonus of a daedric cuirass, and then deck yourself out in glass armor to compensate, or some other mix. This is especially true if you start picking up some REALLY good enchanted stuff, but dont want the full set...

the only downside to this is that your armor skills train slower (only by a little bit...) if you wear more then one type. But so what, you're gonna take the hits anyway, and whats a warrior going to do when he has maxed heavy armor skills, and finds a certain constant resist-magicka cuirass in LIGHT armor? i rest my case. For pure fighting, the only way to go is multiple armor types.

I tend to stick with light armour. Because I go with stealthy, agile, thief/fighter types. I use custom armour, mostly, so I dunno....

As mentioned, different armour works with different types. Enchanting armour with fortify strength and feather is good, but... well, I can't see a downside. I'm still sticking with light though. tongue.gif

take it a step further! Throw feather and fortify strength on your light armor! Just imagine the possibilities...

my character runs around in common clothes with a shortblade and bow. i try to keep it light so i have plenty of room to carry stuff that i pilfer happy.gif .

i only keep the short sword around in case something gets past my barrage of arrows laugh.gif

the light load combined with my high agility/strength/endurance gets me a thief that can run and jump around like spiderman tongue.gif
deep water slang

I like light armor best, but a lot of the other armors are cool looking. That counts for a lot by the time my character is high level. I like the Indoril Armor, and Her Hand's armor is amazing. My favorites are Indoril, Glass, Ebony, Royal Guard, and Dark Brotherhood. They just look cool. happy.gif

light armor is best in the early game. you really can't afford enchanments, and it sucks carrying around all the weight of heavy armor. a decent light armor skill coupled with chitin armor is an affordable way to equip you character for the first stage of the game. after a while, if you want to build up your heavy armor skill, make sure you have the strength to carry the full suit and any potions you need. then go let the baddies kick the fecal matter out of you.

medium armor doesn't, to my knowledge, have uber armor to compete with those of light and heavy. however, indoril armor and orcish armor look cool x)
that's not to say you couldn't use medium armor through the end-game. i'm sure with a medium armor skill of 100, a set of orcish or other medium armor - enchanted with appropriate spells - you could easily survive long enough to clobber any enemy.

it does depend on your play-style though. i wouldn't wear heavy armor on my wizard unless i had it enchanted with +strength or feather (actually, i wouldn't even then, since my HA skill is at 5 i think...) nor on a thief (since i've got the sneak modifiers for wearing armor)
Morrowind_Master
I like Indorial armor, because it has a good protection and it is not heavy to wear.

if you talk about light armor, I schall say: only glass armor is good.

you cant find a normal daedric cuirass or greaves or they're rigged BADLY. those two items have feather constant effects on them by 70%. i like unarmored. HAHAHA no more using that stupid armor that breaks soon. unarmored armor is armor that is indestructable. HAHAHA
