I know somebody around here was asking about the site called www.ilovebees.com. After exploring it, I found out it was pretty crazy, and I likened it to John Titor's website, kind of chocking it up to another internet-inspired myth. Turns out that it's actually part of the Halo 2 ad campaign, and it fleshes out some of the details of the Halo universe.

It's pretty crazy, and I implore you to check it out. It's a good read even without having played either game.

I saw this on gamespot, they said that this is the second time bungie did this junk. The site was advertised in the movie thetre trailer of halo 2.

I'm in a screenplay class this semester, and I was originally going to do a ninjas/zombie film. However, I'm seriously considering going in a different direction due to this site. It's quite inspirational.

And deeply confusing. huh.gif

The hijack currently reads:
Authorized personnel can check rendezvous info here.

Unauthorized personnel should know
that I have full license to use any means to
protect the security of these transmissions.
I believe that punishing even minor transgressions
with shockingly excessive force is the best deterrent.
I am relentless, and I have absolutely no conscience
when it comes to executing my mission.
Make your decisions accordingly.

Note that 'here' in the first line is a hyperlink.
When clicked, the link sends you to a page of seemingly innocuous links. Clicking on the various links will automatically download sound files. At the very top of the page, you'll find a counter that currently reads '336/777.' I don't know what that means yet.

On a completely unrelated note, this guy is supergay.

Wow. You win the thread.

This is just craziness. The more I figure out about the Haunted Apiary, the crazier this seems.
First off, the game has been labeled 'Haunted Apiary' by the online community, due to the site being ilovebees.com.
Here's how I went about learning this stuff:
Hit this link: ilovebees.com.
On this page, you'll see a site for an innocuous little bee farm in Napa Valley, CA run by Margaret. Within a very short amount of time, a black box will appear with the confusing text that is in my signature. Click on any of the links, and it will take you to a page with a bunch of sound files like this.
Here's where this gets crazy. Hidden within each of these sound files is a set of coordinates and a time. These are called axons. Each of these sets will lead you to a pay phone, and at the correct time, that phone will ring. Here's a list of the most current axons, many of which have already been connected or cancelled. I guess about once a week, another one of the links on ilovebees.com home page turns into a set of these axon sound files.

Now, this has become a huge thing. As of right now, 414 of the 777 axons have been connected. They're hot, so to speak. That means that people are finding out where these pay phones are and they're connecting. You can find out some people's experiences with the axons here.

Here's some more links for you.

Honestly, I don't have a clue as to how or if this relates to Halo 2.
