This is just craziness. The more I figure out about the Haunted Apiary, the crazier this seems.
First off, the game has been labeled 'Haunted Apiary' by the online community, due to the site being ilovebees.com.
Here's how I went about learning this stuff:
Hit this link:
ilovebees.com.
On this page, you'll see a site for an innocuous little bee farm in Napa Valley, CA run by Margaret. Within a very short amount of time, a black box will appear with the confusing text that is in my signature. Click on any of the links, and it will take you to a page with a bunch of sound files like
this.
Here's where this gets crazy. Hidden within each of these sound files is a set of coordinates and a time. These are called axons. Each of these sets will lead you to a pay phone, and at the correct time, that phone will ring.
Here's a list of the most current axons, many of which have already been connected or cancelled. I guess about once a week, another one of the links on ilovebees.com home page turns into a set of these axon sound files.
Now, this has become a huge thing. As of right now, 414 of the 777 axons have been connected. They're hot, so to speak. That means that people are finding out where these pay phones are and they're connecting. You can find out some people's experiences with the axons
here.
Here's some more links for you.
BruceNetninjaHonestly, I don't have a clue as to how or if this relates to Halo 2.
