Hey there, I just completed my telvanni tower. I thought I'd wander down and check out the dungeon, low and behold, I find a dead body! Just wondered if there was a reason. It was a woman, fully clothed, carrying an iron spear, an apprentices lockpick, and 1 gold piece. I don't think they would allow a prisoner to carry a spear! Does anyone know why she's there? I've completed both Hlaalu and Redoran but never had this happen. My apologies if this is seen as a stupid question going nowhere.

There are quite a few dead adventurers in the game such as your dead Dunmer. They serve no purpose other than making it seem more dungeon-like.

Other dungeons in the game have dead adventurers with assorted loot and other items.

So steal what you want- there's no connection to a quest.

Actually, this is one I've wondered about and never really found an answer to..... the dead adventurer theory doesn't quite seem to click, since she's there as soon as the building is completed. Also, if I recall correctly, her 'name' when you open her inventory isn't dead adventurer. But there definitely doesn't seem to be any quest attached to her. I think it may just be something like Scourge's Head, something the programmers threw in for their own benefit without letting us in on the joke.

In that case, perhaps someone ought to create a mod that attaches a quest to the dead adventurer. Since the quest comes after you've completed House Telvanni, it would have to have a rather powerful reward at the end, but that's neither here nor there.

I get the impression that its part of the building proccess, you know "you'll need two grand soul gems and a spear wielding pauper." They simply saved the pauper part for themselves being, well... Telvanni.
