I guess it will be the best game of the year, it's like begining of the next generation shooter. I have played the demo already, it looks so cool and finally you can take cover instead of crouching (lol) Demo is short considering it's weight (1300 MB). Good luck in playing, it's not that far away from our hands.

At least Helghast aren't another space-orc race...

Seriously, all these FPS can't possiblybe worth 9s and 10s they keep getting. Despite not having played most of them, I call gaming media bias on the popularity of this genre (and awfully clichéd settings and art styles).

Oh well, I guess I have to download the KZ demo, since it's supposed to be a FPS redefining game (another one?).

I don't think it's a re-defining game so to speak.
From what I've read so far about the game, it's a well-made FPS that is up to the standard of Call of Duty 3 (either X Play or a GameRankings site said that, I forgot which). Now this means that it plays well, has good A.I., has good cutscenes, and reportedly superb multiplayer. Maybe not the "Halo killer" as some pundits would say it. But I think it's going to be an enjoyable and popular game.

THIS GAME IS FREAKING SWEET!
and i dont say that often.

controls take a teeny bit of getting used to, but they are perfect once you get the hang of it.
one thing people have to remember is that Killzone 2 is NOT CoD.

multiplayer is extremely fun, and i have not had a problem finding a game yet.

all that and the graphics are amazing. the textures are a little lacking (i have been noticing that from games as of late. damn you qarl, spoiling me with all those high rez textures!) but the models are great. all it needs now is some AA and it will be a perfect shooter...

Eh, I'm not sure about this one....

It would be good if your into linear gameplay and apparently your character is incapable of opening doors and such.

Apart from these two things this game does look very good....

I just got this game yesterday, and there are a few flaws that I should point out...
I played in Veteran mode so I'm not sure if it's for all of the difficulties, but the enemies take forever to kill. I would put 15 rounds into a man, and he still would not die. Normally it would take around 4-5 rounds to at least severely injure the guy.

Some might call this a flaw, or some might actually enjoy it. I happen to enjoy it. The game is REALLY hard. I find it troubling to make it passed the 1st level.

yeah, i play on veteran as well, but my little brother plays on easy.

veteran does take a lot of bullets to kill someone, but a few well placed ones do the trick as well.

easy only takes 1-2 bullets to kill someone.

Perhaps I will make 2 profiles... 1 to play with more of realism, and 2 to have a challenge.
evilkoal
only problem with that idea is that on easy, you can take a hundred rounds to the face, and keep going hahaha smile.gif

You do have a point. However, KZ2 really is a cut above the average FPS, maybe not genre redefining, but it is a very good game. Probably the best FPS since CoD4.

I have to say I played the demo I liked it. Not as much as Halo or Gears of War 2 but I liked it. It has that feeling of this is humanity's final stand like in Halo 3 or Gears 2, but has a Quake 4 like stry line. Yuh know with the whole lets go to the enemy planet and kill'em. Look at me I'm rambling. Any ways solid game. thumbsup.gif
