Places that we will go.

I remember a post that Suzerane made saying 'You can be a big fish in a small pond' and devs saying that you will never become a Uber Character or never have large armys follow you or anything like that.
Well if this is true and the game is really focused on realism, dont you think that most players will never see most of Middle Earth in the Mod. For example how many people are actually going to make it Mount Doom. I mean what does one man have in making it alone.
So i was thinking isn't it quite pointless to be making lots of things that most people wont see (yes blastephemy sp?) but then again this is a tribute to Tolkien so i understand why you want to make the whole thing.
Sorry for thos i'm not to sure what my argument or point is but just wanted to share my view lol

Its kind of the point.
It will be a suicide mission to go charging into mordor in any timeframe, but how lethal these areas actually are is totally timeline dependant. IMO that level of danger will make the game about 2000% more interesting than if we were utilising a difficultly more on Morrowinds level.

And assuming that you guys are including more than just the human race, which, up to this point, is the only one that seems possible.
Come to think of it, I remember Suze or Daerk saying Men might not even be playable....

Only Race I can definately confirm is unplayable would be the Ents. Sorry, treehuggers.
and the reason we're creating everything is simply this: there's always going to be some male without a father who wants to go see Mount Gundabad, or the Sea of Rhun, or The Ice Bay of Forochiel, or Umbar, or Tharbad, or.....

But how far can your abilities really go? Is there a limit, or do they just controll this by making the "level-up" rate very slow? Has any information about how they plan to stop players from becoming too powerfull been released?
Not that I am planning on having any wild adventures, anyway... I'm just gonna relaxe in my lovely little hole in the Shire! I might even give Belladonna Took a visit, if I can get that pesky Bungo to leave her alone...
Oh, and Mr. Suzerain? That one playable race wouldn't happen to be eagles, would it?
BTW: I've just gone from lurker to poster!!!
