Sorry for hijacking a topic but I don't see where I could post it :(
Anyway just a simple answer please and then you can delete this post and its answer.
I have been following this mod for a while and have decided to read the trilogy books (On summer vacation and most of friends are away) So I was wondering if there are any 'preliminary' books that I should read before-hand? Thanks for any answers.

EDIT: Just clicked my profile for fun and giggles, and it says my local time is 1 hour before then it should be (ie it says 7pm but its actually 8pm) could be my mistake or it could be some sort of daylight savings problem (sounds crazy but possible) Just thought i tell you incase it is a problem.

You can simply start a new thread where anyone could help you ;).

The better you can do is to read the silmarillion, then the hobbit and finally the Lord Of The rings, but it's very hard if you don't like to read because the Silma it's a hard book, full of elven names (it has a 20 or 40 pages appendix of names :P).

The better for you to read, if you don't like to read very much is to the first the Hobbit, who will introduce you to the world in a easy way (it was written more for children than for adults) and you will find out how all the storyline of the LOTR begun in the hobbit part ^^.

The hour its because you have to go to your profile (IIRC) and look for the place where you can configure the time range of the page for you (GTM+1 in my case). Else I think you will see the time of the server (GTM IIRC).

easiest order would be to read
the hobbit,
then Lord of the Rings
then the Silmarillion.

the events of the silmarillion take place way before the others, but it's easier an introduction that way.

You should atleast read the Hobbit before the Lord of the Rings. Imho.
