hi i'm just a new soul at this forum
I've played Morrowind+Tribunal a lot on Win98SE. Now we got the second computer with WindowsXP Home on it, specs is about a P-IV 2gb 256ram GF2MX128 (if i don't mix it).
Firstly it was Win98 too.
I installed Morrowind with Tribunal there, all was OK, then we installed WinXP, i reinstelled the game, and now, when i open loading screen - where it says start a game or visit a site etc. - something goes wrong.
When my choose is Options, Windows instantly stops the program, wants to send report about errors but i can't see anyhing clear about what is the errors.
When i try to start a game, black windows appears at the top of screen and Windows go the same way.
The same when i launch TES. I tryed to reinstall all of it, but again the same result. I do not remember if i installed patch for Tribunal :\
A Big Bad Thing in this situation that i do not know anything of XP, yesterday i've seen it first time in my life, last system i've got used with is Win98, where my Morrowind runs properly.
Maybe someone got the same problem? I noticed today, by the same way XP doesn't run some other games. DirectX8.1. is installed there, also.

hmm.. well xp's never given me any problems b4... but im on professional i've heard home is very buggy. and that black box does it appear in the top left corner? try clicking on it... when my game starts it has the black box, then the screen flashes black, goes wierd for a sec then it starts up. clicking on the box might start it up and as for that report bug window thats just XP's substitute for the program has performed an illegal operation box.

if that doesnt work then i suggest downloading the latest updates for XP from http://www.microsoft...ads/default.asp

n-no, it doesn't help :/ Morrowind already starts as active window, and clicking doesn't help.. that window pop-ups again and closes it.
second Big Bad Thing is, that i have Internet only on one comp, with Win98, where i write from right now, and second comp doesn't have modem. i don't know if it possible to download service pack as one file?
