The GECK (Garden of Eden Creation Kit) was released today. You can download it from the Bethesda website or here at the Nexus.

The announcement came from their BLOG site which gives some nice information about it (video tutorials).

Have fun!

Time to remove the SDK watch message on top of the main page.

Very very happy.

At first glance, very similar to the TES3C and TES3CS. The Navmap tab looks interesting though.

I will let Dark0ne remove the "SDK Watch" message on the homepage. It just so happens that he is on a slowboat back from China and won't even know about the GECK being released for quite some time. hehehehe.

Awesome. Though can we get a new entry on the Webmaster Miniblog on the main page now? The current post seems a wee bit out of place now. ^^'

As I've said, Dark0ne (the site owner / blog creator / editor-in-chief) is traveling from China. When he gets home is likely to head straight to bed (12-15 hour flight).

Please give him some time to make updates.

Thanks,
LHammonds

What a wonderful thing for me to wake up to. I imagine that the influx of mods will begin to increase quite noticeably in the coming days/weeks. Upon quickly glancing at the CS it certainly bears many resemblances to the Oblivion version and quite frankly I'm happy about this. Having the GECK interface operate in a familiar way will certainly allow for an easier transition for those modders who are migrating to Fallout from the Elder Scrolls editors and thus allow for a higher standard of quality in the early days than one would expect from the content released while everyone is learning the ins and outs of the CS. I cannot wait to see what the talented and creative minds of the community come up with now that the proper tools for modding have been made available to them.

Cheers,
~False
