The program which opens .esp files in the TEC.CS - the editor.
To load the files into the game however, go to the Morrowind launch screen and select the data files option. This will show you ever esm and esp file in your data files folder, plus your savegames I think. Tick the files you want to load, go back to the launch screen and start the game.
It should then load all the files in sequence.

Having trouble with two mods, the book turner and the 'merc's.' Seem to have 'installed' OK, cause they show up in the options list, but double clicking them, doesn't activate them. That is an "X" won't appear in their box. Anyone else, is there a fix? Tanx

These mods sound like fun, and am not a 'purist,' like playing with the game more than just playing the game. Maybe I've hit the limit, have about 14 mods loaded and working, dunno. Anyone..?

This is a long shot - but do you have the correct masterfiles for your plugins? Eg. if the plugin requires Tribunal and you haven't got Tribunal installed I imagine it could cause a problem like that.

I have had problems with the "Book Rotate" plug-in as well: I think it's just buggy.
Same story regarding the "Multi-Mark" and "Skyship" plug-ins... If I remember correctly, it's almost common knowlege amongst some of the other users that the "Skyship" plug-in is riddled with bugs, though I've not tried it myself.
Personally, I would suggest unplugging all three, and getting on with Life as you understand it.
